"My fiancé and I loved our experience in Portofinos! The staff was attentive, friendly and punctual. We ordered the Calamari and it was delicious! The Auberginen-Rollatini was the best I ever had! The Ricotta cheese really turned out. My fiancée had the chicken french and couldn't lay down his fork. Jennifer was our server and made our experience an unforgettable experience as we wanted to celebrate Valentine's Day today. Thank you."

"My go to pizza spot. I don't like the name, (NYPD... in Philly?! but I can overlook it. If you're looking for the fancy trendy stuff with weird toppings and cute interior decor, this ain't it. If you're looking for a fresh, hot, traditional slice of pie that has great flavor and just the right thinnest and crispiness, THIS IS IT! Their grandma pizza ain't bad either! Def worth popping on for a slice, you won't regret it."

"Went for the first time last night with a buddy of mine and had the cheeseburger deluxe which is served on a kaiser roll with onion rings or french fries. The burger overall was pretty good and was definitely filling. I would have like mine to be cooked more medium then medium and have a little more seasoning on the patty. It was late yesterday when we visited so the pizza had been sitting for a while. I plan on trying the pizza next time I visit."

"Hart was an exceptional server with great experience. He gave us a perfect wine recommendation and kept us entertained all evening. We felt truly special and will definitely be returning to this restaurant. The seating was fast and the food came out quickly. I highly recommend trying the Spicy Calabrian and the Fettucini Pablano dishes. The Toasted Ravioli was also a standout, the best I've ever had! Overall, the service was excellent, and I would rate both the food and service a 5 out of 5. The atmosphere was also very pleasant, receiving a rating of 4. Would definitely recommend trying the Fried Ravioli dish. Meal type: Dinner."

"We spent last night in Alexandria exploring the area. At 9:00 we were looking for a place to eat. We settled on Bugsys and were able to sit right away. The road was loud with a lot of activity, but it was quiet and comfortable inside. We had a group of seven. The service was great and the food was also good. We ordered pizza, a calzone, spaghetti, a sandwich and salads. It is a beautiful casual environment and family friendly."

"This one of the worst experiences in recent history. We had a reservation for Mother’s Day and we weren’t greeted for 15 mins. We finally sat down and we placed our order. We didn’t get any drinks for 20+ mins. The tea was wrong, the coffee didn’t have sugar and they only brought 1 glass of water for the 3 of us. We asked for more but never got the water. It took about an hour to get our food and my 3 year old was going a little crazy (all he got was 1 slice of French toast). We arrived at 11:30 and left at 1:30 totally dissatisfied. I tried to speak to the waitress and she told me there were busy — there were about 14 tables in the whole place and it’s Mother’s Day- busy isn’t an excuse for terrible. Never going again."

"We had a great family dining experience. The staff Michelle, Val and Emma were wonderful, attentive and very inviting. I'm slightly obsessed with courses so we started off with some bruschetta, the antipasto salad (which we enjoyed 1/2 as left overs the following day) Greek Pizza, pepperoni for the little one and some tiramisu and a canoli for dessert. Yes we left very full, happy and had plenty of left overs for lunch the next day. You could really tell they make their products in house because the flavor is fresh and authentic. The staff made sure to clear our plates and ask if they could get us anything. They have indoor and outdoor seating and offer catering options for events."

"I have been a loyal customer of this restaurant since the 90s. The service used to be consistently good, but my most recent order through Grubhub was disappointing. I did not receive the plastic silverware, extra bread, or Italian dressing that I had requested. They also no longer provide parmesan cheese or cracked red pepper with meals. I would be willing to pay extra for these items if they were on the menu. Not receiving them really affected my dining experience."

"Usually the pizza is good, albeit expensive for what it is. Tonight was disappointing.We ordered two slices to go One Buffalo Chicken to which I requested they add blue cheese- One Chicken and Broccoli $9.70 before tip.We were home and taking our first bite within 5 minutes.1) Both pizza were dry as if they had been sitting around for a while. Cheese wasn't gooey2) While warm enough, we expected the pizza to be hotter (we literally live up the street) as we watched them come out of the oven from being heated up.3) With regard to the flavor profiles, the Buffalo was superior to the Broccoli slice. The latter had no distinctive seasoning. Cardboard with some dried cheese4) The staff failed to add the blue cheese to the Buffalo Chicken slice.All in all, just a negative experience. No joy in eating it. Just calorie consumption.Not sure if we will give it another chance."

"This is the worst takeout order I’ve ever received, and it took an hour and a half to arrive. Received only 10 of the dozen wings I ordered for $16, paid an extra $0.75 for bleu cheese, which did not arrive with the order, and these are the scrawniest wings I’ve ever seen. Not to mention they were thrown on top of a handful of crushed tortilla chips. The menu states that the “mountain” style pizza costs several dollars more because it can be “loaded with an abundance of toppings,” thanks to the tall crust. What I received was a regularly-topped pizza which was 50% crust. I guess the several extra dollars I paid were for an abundance of bread, not toppings. Needless to say, we will steer clear of this place in the future. Saddest $63 meal I’ve ever seen."

Waitstaff, friendly and helpful; the atmosphere friendly and welcoming, but the best part is the food. The chicken pizza was from this world, delicious! The salmon with rice and broccoli was perfectly cooked and a beautiful, large portion. Was definitely back to this hidden gem in Newington, CT"
