"I’ve been going to Saladworks for 15 years now and it’s been a sad, downhill slide for a long time. As a brand, they have made a number of mistakes, including discontinuing well liked salad dressings and salad combinations. I’m not sure if the prices are set by the company or by the individual store owner, but they are out of control. I ordered a create your own salad and the only extra items I ordered were an extra side of salad dressing and a regular sized fountain soda. The total? $18.95. At that price, it just does not make sense for me to return to Saladworks with any regularity. For comparison, a burrito bowl and large soda at Chipotle can be had for $13.33. Yes Chipotle has an economies of scale advantage, but the value shouldn’t be that far off. I work about three minutes from this Saladworks if they had more reasonable prices, I would be going there twice a week instead of twice a year. They further diminish the value by decreasing the size of the dressing containers and having a half broken fountain soda machine. There was no ice in the machine and the Diet Coke tasted flat. Why are they getting 2 stars? Well, the food still tastes good. I wonder how long until that goes too and the franchise goes out of business."
