"We were attracted to the German food which is rare in Manhattan. My guest and I tried the jaeger schnitzel and the sausage combo. Quite good. Many patrons were having pasta and pizza from the Italian portion of the menu. The meat portions are huge. Brought home the leftovers for another meal the next day. Next time I will concentrate on the cucumber salad, red cabbage and potato salad. I drank a wonderful bottle of Czech Pilsner. Service is good at this casual place."

"The place to go if you like real German food. They have 5 different kinds of Schnitzel and home made spaetle In addition, they have an amazing selection of German beers on tap. For non-believers they also keep bottles of light beer under the bar. It is often very busy so service may be a little slow, but it is worth the wait. You can spend the time checking out the countless numbers of steins on display along with the artwork."
