"I recently tried Knife and Fork Inn for the first time while visiting AC for a week. This was on my list of places to try and I am so glad I stopped in on a Wednesday evening for dinner! I was able to quickly be sat for a table for one. The server was friendly, bus person always had my water glass filled, and overall I loved my experience. I could feel the history of the building which was great! I chatted with the server about some menu options and she recommended the Knife and Fork Inn dinner, which included 3 courses, an excellent and tasty crab chowder, a fresh tomato and mozzarella salad (I actually typically dislike tomato but was able to surprisingly enjoy the dish), and then filet Mignon and lobster thermidor, their signature dish. I can see why, as it was so delicious, lobster was cooked perfectly, it was so flavorful and perfectly seasoned, and I loved every bite! The steak was cooked well, I asked for medium and it was mostly spot on, it was so tender, and tasted so fresh! My side was good too like a pillowy french fry. I would definitely return and recommend to others. The prices were reasonable in comparison to casino restaurants and everything was so fresh and delicious! Even my creme brule dessert was awesome! Awesome dinner and can't wait to visit again some day!"

"I'm a fan of the Talk of the Town restaurants. This is a lovely place to dine. I took the wife there for her birthday. They did bring her a small cake with candles after the meal. I ordered the bone in ribeye. However, my steak came out with way to much salt on it. It was cooked the way I wanted just over salted. They cooked me another. When the manager brought it to the table he asked my to cut it to check if it was cooked properly. I said yes but let me taste it, yup, way to salty. He thought I was unhappy with the doneness. I may one day give them another try."

"we had a fabulous dinner here. we married earlier on the day, had reservations here, and the entire staff was so friendly, and courteous, and the service was excellent. we started eating and drinking at the bar and then dragging to our table. the steak and the scallops were phenomenal. the nachos were so light and fresh. I had made the owner by e-mail about us a little high-time cake. andrew was so helpful and courteous, the cake was perfect and tasty. "So my wife and I were at 190 Sunset for dinner tonight...Rethinking of us are Picky-Esser... we had fantastic appetizers crabcake and lobster Mac and cheese. Both were so good. For our main thing, she ordered Scallop Risotto to eat fantastic... one of our favorite things and she felt that it was the best she had eaten.... I ordered the Chicken Parm, I couldn't decide that I felt it was a safe bet... I got it and I just didn't like it... Server came by and he offered me something else... While in my new order my wife and I talked to us about how it tasted and the sauce was runny. The server immediately returned and told me my Halibut would be just a minute and apologised that they tasted the chicken parmesan in their back and realized that they had not left the pasta well enough so that it was the Sauce runny and bland... I got my halibut, it was crazy good... she gave us free dessert and it was also incredible (beignets and chocolate mousse cakes) I can tell you that my wife and I will definitely tell our friends and we will definitely return... also, order the chicken parm after the received service, the court I received is not indicative of what they serve..."

"The server was excellent. But two people $80, no drinks is a lot. We have been married three years and went for our anniversary. They ask at time of reservation what is the occasion you are coming for. You would think the would have written a little “happy Anniversary” in the desert plate just to make it special. You don’t have to get anything for free. But a little extremity makes events special. The American Restaurant are about the same price, but are nicer and they add the little embellishments. So if your celebrating something nice, I would go there. The server was very nice and attentive. But the fish and chips was a bit greasy. Had a stomach ache after. Usually love the food."

"We found Hays City last year before the pandemic camp and stay at Wimberley on weekends. Since then we have been 26 times more and drive over an hour to feed here. We are usually using the chips and queso as appetizer and then Cheeseburger for the main course both are AMAZING and the Cheeseburgers are possibly the best you ever find. The atmosphere and the food are always on site and we only had a visit, lately, where the service of our waitress was less than expected. This is by far our favorite place to dine!"

"nyaj was in a place my man was and I would often. today we brought family out of the city that we have not seen because of covid in a because. unfortunately after the service experience we had today, we will not return. due to the trip from different distances, our family came in appetizers for our 2:00 reservation. at the arrival I was greeted by our waitress “T” who waited for my man and I before. After some family members arrived, we ordered a few appetizers. it was during the appointment of our ancestors that our waitress and my sister had a exchange in the law, in which my sister in the law, which does not eat milk, asked for a change of order and did not fully understand what the waitress explained. she asked some clarifying questions and was very rudely spoken by “T” to look at the table when we should go and find a new restaurant. but we thought maybe something was going on and we'd let it go. from our point of view we could see that our waitress complained about our table to other employees and employees. When the rest of our party arrived, she never really welcomed her and offered her to take over her orders for everything. it was obvious that she was not happy to wait for us, and again we could see that they wait over us through the very sharp looks of the rest of the restaurant - which was also very disappointing and respectful. then suddenly another waitress shows that she will wait for us because t had to leave for a family emergency. we said ok and shattered our interactions with her perhaps that reason and our experience was saved by the new waitress, which was very pleasant and accommodating for our party of 7th but 15 minutes later we see t appear and begin to wait other tables, so then it was obviously the reason for the switch and not what was told us. management never came by to ask us or check to see what was going on. highly disappointed!"
