"This was my first time in Omizu and we decided to eat here for a Valentine's Day. Each other Japanese restaurant was booked for the day. I have often gone to Benihana and Wasabi Steakhouse, but for the sound or distance it was not very important, but this restaurant is my new favorite. So glad I took a chance on this jewel! The restaurant was decorated with BEAUTIFULLY! I was amazed how cultural and beautiful it looked. The details that made it a special dinning experience were from flowers to candle on the table. The restaurant has a romantic feeling with the dimmed lights and an intimate environment. The food was delicious and the service was fast! My husband and I had the chicken Hibachi dinner that came with delicious clear soup and salad. The salad was fresh and crisp with a lot of dressing up. Everything about my dinner was perfect. The thick chicken pieces were perfectly cooked and the vegetables were so good. We even ordered an avocado sushi roll. They had a bar section that was separated by a beautiful wall of water and bubbles that changed the color. I will probably make this my special celebration restaurant! "This rather empty boite is beautifully appointed. The food is well done, the staff good, the WiFi fast. The dumpling sampler was disappointing, but the plum wine was excellent, and the kung pao chicken was good. The rice should be fresher, so it isn't tough. The fact that they also serve a separate crab seafood menu is bizarre but welcoming. It is essentially two restaurants in one.Parking: The parking lot is adjacent and under an adjoining residential tower. The exit is by the restaurant. The entrance is further down."

"After having eaten here with my family, I would never eat or recommend this restaurant to everyone again. The server we had was extremely rude. My daughter ordered quite clearly fried rice and the person brought her fried rice and said that is what she actually ordered. She never once asked us if our meal is good or even refills our waterglass. The worst part was that she ran out of the restaurant and actually chased us into our car and screamed that she demanded a big top. It was incredible and unacceptable. If the owner does not get a grip on his employees and quality of food, he will actually lose more valued customers."

"We went with our two toddlers and though the place doesn’t seem toddler friendly it was rather good. They did not look twice at the kids and they were accommodating. The food came super fast, which is a blessing with hungry kids. They were quick on picking up empty plates and moved us out fast, which was great because we were losing control of them by that point. The food was good, staff was friendly, menu was easy to navigate and the kids ate a massive amount of shumi."

"Our local sushi restaurant has become a regular spot for us. We dine here weekly because both the kids and adults enjoy it so much! The staff is very accommodating to children and are not bothered by the mess they may make. They even have special sushi stick training tools for the kids to learn how to use utensils. I love experimenting with new sushi rolls and the staff is always patient and helpful in introducing us to new flavors."

"I should have ordered sushi instead. I got the seafood yaki soba and while I was pleased with the waitress and her attentiveness, I was not happy with my meal. The seafood included 5 shrimp, 2 scallops (cut in half), and a 3-inch piece of imitation crab (also cut in half). In my opinion, no restaurant should be rated higher than 2 if they serve imitation crab. The shrimp were overcooked and lacked flavor, the scallops were colorless and tasteless, and the imitation crab speaks for itself. The noodles were decent. On the other hand, my 11-year-old daughter enjoyed her salmon hibachi with no complaints. I would like to give this place 3 stars for the exceptional service, but the quality of the food brings the overall rating down."

"My daughter and I share a birthday. It's tonight. We reserved a table where you can cross your feet and have some privacy with your family. It was a Wednesday night, not busy. The staff is very nice. The food is always great. My wife and I decided on a Sushi boat. The sushi was good and fresh. We had mentioned to the waitress that it was our birthday. Before the check arrive, a platter with unbelievable delicious pineapple and orange wedges arrived at the table. Small touches of detail make a difference on the experience of the meal. Thank you to the waitress that made our Birthday a little extra special."

"Love this place! I had lunch here earlier this week and it was a delite. The miso soup and salad was spot on. It reminded me of my time in Okinawa years ago. When my meal came I was very suprised with the presentation. Everything tasted great and the staff was excellent! Since it's on my way home from work, I see myself stopping by here quite a bit for dinner."

"I ordered for the first time from here today and I can’t believe I waited so long esp since I loveee Sushi! I’ve tried many places in the area and I think this is one of the best I’ve gotten! "Decent and fresh sushi at decent prices. This will Not be your fresh from Japan omakase high end selections but it's good for its price point. Service was attentive and cordial without being overbearing. The atmosphere is nice and the tables were full when I went but luckily not too loud. I understand they have hibachi but did not try that. Their takeout selection is very nice also."

"This was my first Japanese food experience in the area, and Sumo Hibachi doesn't stand out on my list of memorable places to eat. The sushi wasn't bad, although I wish the menu mentioned it had wasabi inside. The spring rolls weren't bad either and went well with the sauce. However, the chicken with the hibachi plate was quite soft and chewy, which is less tasty than compared to a bit of char. The dressing on the salad wasn't very tasty either. The food itself warrants a star off. The other star deduction comes from the 18% gratuity at the end of the meal, regardless of party size. I've seen many restaurants add a mandatory gratuity for large groups (i.e. 6+ but it's quite rare that you're charged 18% on top of your meal regardless. That's never a good look for a restaurant. I will say the show they do in the back looked entertaining though, but I didn't get to experience it first hand."

"This was my first time in Sushi Masa. Our server was helpful and asked if we were familiar with the buffet. She went with us over the menu and gave us enough time to check our options. I am usually a little nervous order in new restaurants, but she gave us enough time for our selection. We ordered a lot, but we were attentive not to waste because it says on the menu that if you waste you will be charged for the extra. Needless to say, we didn't leave anything on our plates. The food was good."
