"have enjoyed Mel has been for a few decades, and it is never disappointed! Everything on the menu is great, nothing you can go wrong with. Had a stop at a Sat evening at 5:00 and could get a table within a few minutes. Decorated on their onion rings, fried mushrooms, bacon cheeseburger (normal size!... not the Mel or Mega-Mel) and the Monte Christo. The food is always hot, crispy and not greasy. The hostess and wait staff are super friendly and even tho the waiting staff go what seems like a million miles an hour.. You still care about you! The only Ni-Pick on our meal this time, was with the Monte Christo... they needed to melt the cheese in a sandwich before roasting! This sandwich must be warm inside when you bite, not cool."

"Easy to read menu board on entry. Do your own drinks from the Coke family. Sweet Tea was a bit thin, but thats ok. Very calm and quiet atmosphere. Interacted with very few staff but they were nice. 93 degrees outside. Inside was very comfortable. Was notba meat locker but I didn't sweat either. Just nice. Seat yourself."

"Your staff was so excellent. We were visiting from Oregon for my mother-in-law's 80th birthday. I made our reservation for 4/23/23 online by mistake so when we showed up at 7:00 pm on 3/23/23 y'all were completely booked. You were able to fit us in. Your staff made Kay Alexander's 80th birthday a success and saved me (the absent-minded Son-in-law) years of ridicule. Thank you so much, you're all the greatest."

"It's a tough check. It seems like a little business with some trouble getting hurt by Covid. The place was really clean. It is a comfortable and beautifully decorated restaurant. The Greek pride is rvident. The bathrooms were immaculate, which is huge in my book. All plucked up for me to walk from 3 to 4 stars. When we got out, there was no waitress. That's okay because she also took care of blocking and taking orders while she was really nice. Hard work is always appreciated and recognized. The owner? can apologize with a smile. I think I'm usually worried about the price point that seems a bit high, but Covid has many places. The food was good, but not bad. I would go back if only to help what seems to be a fighting business. If I do, I'll be happy to know it's a clean place to eat. Try it."

"It's a beautiful place so we were really expecting something good. We were very disappointed. The hostess seemed confused about where to sit us which led to us standing awkwardly in the middle of the restaurant for a minute or so. Our server forgot our menu and one of our drinks while she was busy texting right next to us at the bar. The food was over-priced and under-flavored. My shrimp and grits was unseasoned save for the inch of oil that rimmed the plate. My companions burger and Mac and cheese were equally bland and greasy. Our cocktails weren't even made right! On top of that the live music was a mediocre DJ who just played songs from the radio with zero mixing while occasionally saying his own name over it. Overall it was a very poor introduction to Louisville."

"A friend brought cookies to work one day and I was so happy with them and had to ask where they came from. I visited Ms. Angels about a week ago and was very pleased with my experience. The facility outside and inside is VERY welcoming and attracts you. I enjoyed the brightness of the decorations. Very striking for me and pleasant. Fresh muffins were brought out when I was there and when I asked what kind they were the woman who worked very politely, they answered me. There were numerous cakes, cakes and cookies to choose from. I got some Macaroons and a cookie decoration set for my children. The cookie kit was a hit with my children last weekend. We were very satisfied that the cookies, where also really good. I have some bad ingwerbread cookies before and was very happy that these were absolutely delicious! I will definitely go back to my next trip. I enjoyed my trip here to Mrs. Angel's heavenly Pies. I came back to my childhood bakery where I grew up in Marion, NC. It's always nice when I come across a business that has that real old fashion feels it too, and reminds me of home. The owner definitely has a good thing to go here and I hope that she and her family will see in business for many years. I often visit Mt. Airy when I have family in town and will come through any chance I can. Thank you. Mrs Angel is a wonderful experience and keep it as you are!!"

It was a cold 34 degrees today in Greenville and the thought of warm pulled pork barbecue and delicious sides sounded extra appealing. A quick walk through Falls Park and the faint scent of barbecue sealed the deal! Emily greeted me with sass and awesomeness. I chose the 3 cheese Mac and Cheese divine), greens grandmother would be proud) and baked beans with brisket that would satisfy a Texan along with my pulled pork plate. It was perfect. The corn bread put it over the top. Fantastic location. Amazing foods. Order the mac and cheese, please! Ask for Emily! "Let start with the service?. My waiter was great! Her name was Megan and she made us feel like we were at home. She was very attentive and pleasant, she even spoke pig with my son. Lol. My 3 year old is a very picky eater and both times we have come here he has been pleased with his food (He ordered the Mac and cheese and pickles). As for my food it was everything I?ve been craving since my first visit here. The ribs were juicy and flavorful and the Mac and cheese was to die for. (I had to order 2 because it was so good). This was the first time I ordered the wings and I was pleasantly surprised by the sweet sauce. It has the right amount of sweet and tangy. When it comes to the sweet tea?. Tell you grandmother she has competition because it definitely tastes like a family secret passed down from generation to generation. I sampled the banana pudding and even though it was good it lacked that homemade texture and taste. Over all I was very satisfied."

"I've been fed to Aunt Kate for years. This 5????????? Review is long overdue. I had everything on the menu, but go back to the fried shrimps. They are large and are blessed with a slight scatter that leaves the taste of the shrimp, the thing you remember. This time we had a fried green tomatoes and Madison had the Ahi tuna. I've always been lucky to have an excellent waitress or waitress. This time was no exception. We had several rounds and ate outside, this is the best weather permit. "Wasn’t memorable. The food wasn’t better or worst than anywhere else and it’s overpriced for what it is (due to the area its in). You can tell they cater to the older crowd in their polos and khaki shorts. We had just left an aquatic facility so were in athletic shorts and tshirts. Just remember.. don’t judge a book by its cover! We are very generous tippers but the service was so bad it was hard to tip even 15%. Of all the people that sat down the same time as us, we were last for everything. Everyones orders around us was taken first. A gentleman even sat down behind us, got his food literally at the same time they took our order. Should’ve just walked out. Mind you we weren’t there at a crazy time like friday or saturday night. I don’t live in the area but am out this way a lot for other reasons, but I can say I doubt i’ll ever choose this place again."
