"I have eaten here twice. I love chicken, I love fried chicken. I love southern bbq, Carolina BBQ, pit BBQ, etc etc. I just don't love bigs. First I can't get past the prices, a couple of sandwiches some fries and and a couple sides and drinks should not set you back $70. Secondly, it's really monotonous ... their spice rub is potent and overly salted and it applied liberally and in totality over everything such that it comes down to texture to discern the difference between a potato and a thigh. And it's greasy and not in any of the limited ways that could be good. The broccoli could be smoked, but instead it's deep fried, the poutine is lackluster and the chicken frankly dry. Please understand that bigs runs circles around chain restaurants like BWW etc ... I'm not judging them against chain places but against the level they have chosen to play against... Clays Smokehouse etc, Fire on the Mtn. Places that sweat to produce well crafted high quality great food at a reasonable price. This is what bigs should be doing but they're not. I would skip completely until they up their craft, reduce the grease, vary the flavors, and understand there isn't a boneless chicken thigh in the world worth $7 a piece."
