Juicy shrimp served chilled with zesty cocktail sauce and a wedge of lemon for a refreshing seafood appetizer.

"It was very delicious. I need to retake the pocture. We ended up cleaning our plates. My wife and I found this place on a Friday night for our date night. Sunday we were back again for lunch. Super fast service."

"Have not eaten here before. Was greeted by a masked young man and seated. Every table in the small place was full. There is outdoor seating available. Our waitress was very nice and full of personality. The margaritas were good and my Carnitas dinner was prepared just right. My girlfriend, who has been here a number of times, dinner was also prepared properly and enjoyed. The Don Jose location is not optimal as it is co-located with the Exxon. Parking is adequate yet have to keep an eye out for other cars. Still, this was a very surprising experience. I did not have high expectations and it certainly exceeded those. I have eaten at Mom Pop Tex-Mex restaurants in El Paso and Don Jose is not that, yet, still this is better that many of the American/Mexican restaurants. Don't let the location dissuade you from enjoying. We will be back!"

"The food was under seasoned didn’t have much flavor. Worst queso I’ve had thus far. I got chicken enchiladas the chicken was definitely from a can. The manager was rude after her waitress charged us the wrong amount. She treated us like we were trying to get away with something? The best thing about the experience was the coke in a bottle."

"We tried this restaurant upon a friend’s recommendation who is a Peruvian. It’s his favorite Peruvian restaurant in the DMV area. We enjoyed our dining experience. The pisco sour is really good and you can get for $7 instead of $12 during happy hours though the volume is meager (the liquor portion covers 1/4 of the glass). Lomo saltado is excellent; the classic cerviche is yummy though needs a bit extra citrus flavor. The house salad has a nice portion. Three sauces calamari is disappointing overcooked with thick batters. Overall we will come back again though more carefully with the food to order."

"Each time I visit this restaurant, I am always satisfied. The food is delicious and reasonably priced. The staff is also friendly and welcoming. In this photo, I ordered the shrimp wrapped in bacon with a side of rice and beans. I couldn't even finish a quarter of it (so there was plenty to take home)."

"I visited this restaurant for the first time while passing by. The shrimp tacos were incredibly fresh and tasty. The guacamole dip was excellent too."

"What can I say about this restaurant that makes it fair? At first this is very likely the most authentic Mexican place in NY and if you want to taste the real local cuisine, this is a must. Secondly, the menu and an extraordinary selection of classic main dishes that you could find in every Mexican home and that is just magic, because this is an extraordinary piece of my beloved country. And thirdly, the staff is absolutely friendly and warm, open to give you a advice about food or help with an additional order. I venerate food, place and experience. Please come to Casa Enrique and enjoy the authentic Mexican food! Finally, I have only one proposal for the cook to make this place 110% real... in Mexico we need white bread (like cut Bolillos) on the table with our breakfast as a must-have side. You see it when you visit a restaurant over there, give you a bread basket and maybe some butter. Please note that you add this table center at least for the eggs with mol."

"The Mexican dishes here are quite impressive. The portions are generous, and the service is top-notch. I enjoyed the chimichanga and enchilada plate. I was tempted by dessert, but unfortunately, I had no room left!"

"Mazatlan in Auburn has been the best hand's down for Mexican food. They have been consistently making great food since I was a kid. And now have updated the menu with even more fantastic food items. Always a family favorite."

"We have visited this restaurant once before and were not impressed. However, we decided to give it another try, especially since we had a gift certificate. The interior is lackluster, with white walls and poor lighting giving it a depressing atmosphere. The previous visit had a charming red brick patio that is no longer available, leaving the dining experience feeling more like a basement setting. The food was decent, but we have had better Mexican cuisine at a lower price point. It is disappointing considering the Michelin Star ratings and the difficulty of securing a reservation, as we expected a higher quality experience."

"We love la Costita, we often order out and occasionally we eat there. I have to say I am impressed how busy they treat the situation very well, they take more or less 20 minutes to prepare a dinner and they just messed up our order once, but they gave us a credit for the missing food we have paid and the following time they had in the file, so we did not have any problems with using the credit. I love mainly the burrito with the shredded beef, but it happened a few times to find in a whole large piece of grease that had to be saved, we also like the chimichanga pig, the taquitos and the carne asada, not so much the chicken quesadilla. I would say that her food is very good, although not the best you can find. They make huge cocktails that are definitely worth a try, they also have an area of restaurant for over 21). They always give you free tortilla chips, also to take off, which is a plus, although I would personally put some salt. Last time we ate there, we noticed that the service was not the same from earlier, they were quite cold and not very welcoming and did not offer any refill until we asked for it, although we appreciate that they have a children's menu, they gave children coronations and cups of water with a lid and a straw."
