"Walked in to eat here from our hotel. Very good food, potion sizes and price. I had Chori Pollo and it was creamy and delicious. I loved the brown enchilada sauce. the chips and salsa are great too."

"I was visiting from Brooklyn and had an absolutely amazing meal at El Patron. Its a new restaurant in Poughkeepsie but it is truly unique, excellent and very well priced Mexican food that I will make a permanent stop whenever I travel North in the Hudson Valley. I love this place and am so happy I found it! Maybe I can convince them to expand to Brooklyn.... My friends tell me this restaurant specializes in Oxacan Mexican cuisine. I don 't know that I 've ever been to a restaurant specializing in this region, but it was certainly a little different than your everyday Mexican fair and it made me very interested in learning more. Mexican food is my favorite cuisine, but I don 't usually get much variety in a menu. Here they had many dishes I 'd never encountered before that used cactus leaves (turned out to be delicious! , fried oxacan cheese, and grilled jalapenos in interesting ways. Even the small salad that came with my meal was a fresh spin they gave me fresh lime and oil instead of 'oil vinegar ' and it was absolutely delicious. I posted a longer review you can read on yelp."

"If I could give it zero stars, I would; this business was disgusting, the customer service was appalling, there was no communication about the price increases for my meals and drinks, and they even took thirty dollars from me and added their own gratuity. This place is completely unrecommendable because it is crowded with idiots and drug addicts who enter the restaurant to use the restroom. Watch your back and make sure your automobiles are locked."

"We enjoyed delicious breakfast tacos in the Guerrero style (with beans, eggs, and pickled jalapenos) at this authentic restaurant. The food was so good that we ended up asking for seconds. Maria, the owner, was very attentive to our dietary restrictions and even mentioned that her team could accommodate special requests, like vegetarian breakfast tacos. A notable highlight is that they make their corn tortillas fresh from scratch."

"Wonderful lunch here today with my husband. We tried the Chile Rellanos and the Shredded Chicken Burrito and both were very hot (warm) and tasteful! Authentic taste. First place in a long time that we liked the beans and rice. Very recommended!!"

"The food has just gotten nasty and disgusting. I used to love and enjoy the food here but now it's just nasty. I ordered desayuno salvadoreño and the eggs came watery. Half the plate was filled with water wish i had taken photos but I unfortunately had to throw it away. They need to improve their food or bring back k the delicious food from back in the day."

"An absolutely unforgettable experience! I've never felt so much love and respect from a restaurant. The moment I saw those talented women preparing the burritos, I knew my life would be different from that point on. For once, I felt like a fresh, warm tortilla, filled with compassion through a delightful cheesy bean and chicken medley. I'm determined to see this place earn a Michelin Star. Consider taking out a third mortgage on your home to support this gem. You won't regret it! Trust me on this."

"Worst service from servers and owner. Plates were brought out like 30 minutes apart from each other. Plates were missing and still charged for. When spoke to owner, she was rude and did not admit responsibility and made excuses. Very unprofessional and bad attitude. Will not return and definitely do not recommend. Don't go if it's a big party, they can't handle it and will not serve correctly. Restrooms were also dirty and p all over the walls. Very disappointed in the service and the food."

"I would like to start by saying that I am not one who normally writes reviews to trash restaurants, but I felt like this was necessary. I was really hopeful that this place would be a traditional Mexican place with great food, but I was very very disappointed . The fried plantains were practically burnt and very dry. The rice was flavorless and the beans were extremely watery and had no flavor. The bowl was average. It didnt look fresh but that may have been because the delivery was long. The pork carnitas were okay. Alittle dry. Overall I was very displeased not to mention my food took 2 hours to come because the door dash driver got "lost"."
