"A group of our friends in stowe vt sought something else, so we decided to try Stowe Fondue. I never had a sitting fondue dinner, so I wasn't exactly sure what to expect. I can say that I was blown away from the whole experience. Our waitress was very nice and made us feel comfortable. Although I live in the area, I had never eaten in the Stowe Inn or Stowe Fondue, but the restaurant interior was surprisingly beautiful. It is a fairly open restaurant with different levels that all have a beautiful view of the huge glass windows that surround the entire restaurant room. Now to the important part THE FOOD! 1. Course: Fondue. We tried the special at night, that was a pilsner/red pepper cheese mixture that was amazing. Our friends got the classic Swiss fondue (Finally go with friends and order different options, so you can share all! that was also delicious. 2nd course: Meat. Not only typical meat We have beef talloin, lamb lilypops, pork talloin and Oh yes more beef talloin (no great seafood fans in our group). They cook your own meat in a delicious broth or hot oil. Since we had four people, we both tried. It was a really neat experience cooking your own meat during the dinning in a restaurant. We didn't know exactly what to do, but from the waitress gave us a good advice and put us on the right path. All we cooked was delicious, and it was a lot of fun. I personally enjoyed the hot broth a little more than the hot oil (both a little slower, though , and I loved the beef zartloin (obvily, who did not do, and lamb lipops. You can also choose sauces. We tried four sauces, all added to the already incredible tasting food we cooked, 3rd course: chocolate fondue. I usually don't order desserts at dinner because I'm usually so full of my appetizers and main course, but with fondue it seems like you can enjoy more and more! That's not to say that I wasn't full when I left. Back to food, the chocolate fondue was decadent and it offered a variety of fruits, cookies, marshmallows and other snacks for diving. No surprise, everything with delicious. All in all, it was a really funny and very unique culinary experience unlike I had anywhere else. I am now a big fan of Swiss fondue restaurants, especially Stowe Fondue, and I will certainly return (big choice when visiting family and friends! ."
