"while on a romantic holiday trip, my partner and I reservation for crooners, read reviews and on the look for a fun atmosphere for the day after christening. when we entered, there was only one table with guests eating in the restaurant and an empty bar. not very alive and welcoming. the waitress/hostess/manager? was friendly enough and put us on the table in the back away from the cold. we then ordered a ginger and a soda water with a splash of cranberry juice. my partner got a glass twice the size of me, and I had to ask for a drink larger than a highball glass. we then ordered the muddles, as we were delighted to eat some seafood in the northeast. after fifteen minutes (or more) the waitress lets us know that there were no cuddles! again we were just one of 2 tables in the restaurant, so not sure why it took so long to tell us about it? we then ordered a grilled caesar salate and realized that eating was not fresh. the restaurant must have been closed for christmas and served left. at this point we asked for the review and cut our losses. a very disappointing visit to portland, maine for our dinner; especially after reading such bright reviews."
