"We've been going to Putnam Inn for a few years, but what a find! We love this place! We never had a bad experience in this food! We took some family members for lunch on Saturday 7/2/16. The buffet changed from breakfast to lunch when we arrived. The lady who sat on us said it was about 10 minutes or so to be completely finished, so that we put our waitress, our beverage orders came. We have drinks in time. The buffet was ready for lunch within the time the lady said it was. I must say all raves about the fried chicken BUT let me say I tried the pox for the first time they were the bomb! I hardly needed a knife to cut it!! I have NIE pork chops in a restaurant, let alone on a buffet that soooo delicate had so good taste! WOW! I have read some mixed reviews about this place, but I can honestly say we never had a bad experience with the food, the staff or the decor of the dining room! The tables are clean, the buffet always seems clean, even the cutlery! Genuine cloth napkins for a buffet?! What a treat! I like the decor. Yeah, it's simple, but I'm here to eat the delicious food, not to decorate ideas. The fancier the facility the more you pay. The price for the buffet is very reasonable given the type of dishes served! Maybe we're not picky people, but I always leave this place with a good feeling! I say if you're starving here, it's your own fault! I wouldn't change anything here!"

"As a regular customer, I frequent this restaurant every week to enjoy a meal. I have been a loyal patron for years and have never experienced bad service or food. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and the staff is always friendly. I am surprised by some negative reviews, as I have always seen the employees go above and beyond to ensure that every customer is taken care of. The manager and owners even provide table service when needed and make sure that everything runs smoothly. "A Denver staple not to be missed! Always great food, big portions, and amazing staff. This place gets busy, especially on the weekends, so plan on a wait. The wait will be worth it, and the staff works hard to keep things moving quickly, so your wait is never that long, in all the years we've been going the longest we waited was maybe 20-30 minutes. While everyone has their favorites, I'd recommend the breakfast burritos, and when in Colorado smother, everything is spicy green chili. I'd also like to thank our server, Mikey, from our last visit. "Was pretty upset about the fact that the food was not as good as I had heard from the reviews. Me and my boyfriend got to try three different dishes. They were all very poor quality and taste. The crepe was overfilled with filling which was way too much and ruined the crepe…The strawberries tasted and looked like they came from a can. The eggs Benedict was also really poor as far as taste and quality. They overdid it with the sauce and added way too much ham. There was no balance and it was very bland. Only thing was descent were the country potatoes."

"The food here is delicious. It's just that service is pretty slow. The line to order moves slowly as well as actually getting your food. I'm not sure if they need to hire more people or if it's just the process. The food is awesome. It's just hard to wait that long. It's literally a 2 minute walk from my job. I placed a togo order and waited and waited and waited. It took 17 minutes to get it! Once I got back to my office and ate it, the food was awesome. I ordered a chicken club w/fries. It was so yummy. It's one of the one places downtown that has fries but it might not be worth the wait. Unless I start calling it in."

"We went for breakfast on a Sunday morning. It was empty so we were seated quickly. We were greeted almost immediately by our server and started with just some coffee. We decided on scrambled eggs with cheese, grits and Canadian bacon. I asked for cheddar with my eggs but I don't think that's what I got. I only eat cheddar on my eggs so unless it was some exotic, overseas and organic cheddar, that wasn't cheddar. It was very bitter and tart and I just wound up scraping it off my eggs so I could get through my meal. It tasted between provolone ans swiss. But the rest of the meal was enjoyable. Despite the heat wave outside it was comfortable inside and as customers began to trickle in you could see this was a favorite local spot. The restroom was clean and well stocked with paper towels and tissue. And we were even gifted a small box of cookies when we left."

"I had only been to Jack's once a couple of years ago and I recall that I enjoyed the sandwich I had. This time I tried the fish and chips platter and was completely disappointed. The 3 cylindrical (how?! pieces of fish were burned and overcooked. As a matter of fact, they reminded me of my teenage years fast food job when we refried the chicken because no one bought it earlier in the day. So back into the deep fryer it went for the late afternoon customer. We were there at lunchtime so maybe they just burned it. There was a HUGE portion of fries with the entree but they were completely tasteless. The only decent aspect of the meal was the cole slaw. The service and the fact that there was adequate parking were the high points."

"As a very frequent year round local customer I was highly disappointed with my last takeout order. The prices are OUTRAGEOUS now! I enjoy Santos Buffalo Fingers and this year the 6 piece is now 5 and the price went up to over $10. Buffalo Fries? $3 more than regular fries to throw sauce on them and you're forced to get the biggest size where there used to be 2 difference sizes. $26 for 5 chicken fingers and fries with sauce on them. Oh by the way, you couldn't even tell there was sauce on the food. For the price I have to pay now I should at least be able to taste the sauce that is barely on the food. Hate that I'm leaving this negative review but since the sale this place (one of my favorites) has gone downhill. I hope the owners make changes"

"Loved, loved , loved the atmosphere. I got the garden skillet. My husband got the tuna sandwich. Unfortunately there was a bit of mold on the bread of his sandwich. We told the waitress who was genuinely shocked and went immediately to the chef. They offered anything he’d like instead and took the sandwich off our bill. They were so apologetic. Then the chef gave us these amazing donuts to apologize further. (See photo. I wish I had taken photos of my skillet. It was delish. The side pancakes were a meal In itself! The biscuit was a nice touch. So much food! Warm syrup!! So delish…everything! We love this place and will make it a regular spot to dine. They get five stars!!!"

"First time here with my young family and the food was OK. We got the Buffalo Wings (which are not spicy, I was expecting some spicy) and I don't recommend getting them. Hardly any meat on them. Mostly fat and the breaded coated around them. Definitely not getting them ever again. The Philly Cheese steak was alright. I was hoping it was going to be great but it wasn't. I don't recommend. Now, what really was a lot better than the wings and the Philly Cheese Steak were, Eggs Benedict, County Fried Steak and Eggs, French toast combo and Chicken Parmigiana were pretty good. The only staff we encountered was Angie and she was so amazing! Seriously, wow!!!! She was so nice and welcoming and friendly.
