"Update: I was very impressed with McAlister's response to my review. They took care of us and made this bad situation right. I have updated the review accordingly. Do not do take out if you want to get your money’s worth! I just got home and they didn’t even give me a legit club. It was missing the middle pieces of bread and they didn’t toast it at all. They also forgot to put my chips in the bag. Also, the kids mac cheese bowls were halfway filled. My wife’s meal was sub par also. We usually eat there and we will do that from now on. I definitely deserve some money back! Please, someone from the restaurant reach out to me."

"What a great sandwich shop. I ordered three BLT+A sandwiches and a New Yorker. The available sides that come with the sandwich are great. My wife had a fruit cup, the boys had chips but I opted for the soup, of which there are several to pick from. I selected the Chicken Tortilla and it was no delicious. I could have eaten a gallon it was so good. I was there at a good time as it wasn't too busy. The staff was very patient since this was my first visit. I'll definitely be going back."

I heard other patrons comment it was better than Jason's or Two Jays. We tried the New Yorker, Reuben, and a club wrap sandwich. Everyone enjoyed what they ordered. We'll be back. : D"

"The place is clean, and it was packed and busy when I went inside. I heard that the sandwiches at this place were good, which is why I decided to visit it. They have a huge variety of options on their menu. My friend told me to try their Reuben, so that is exactly what I got. The staff are friendly and polite. The service was definitely slow. I do not know if it is because the place is packed and busy or the service is really slow at this place. I had to wait a long time for the Reuben and the drink I ordered. Anyway, the prices are fair and reasonable. The Reuben was fresh and had a nice portion. I must say it is a good sandwich. It tastes fresh, and the portion is kind of huge, and the flavor was delicious. I definitely like it, and I will most likely return to this location. The service will be quicker next time. It is a good place, and as a first-timer, I would say that the sandwich is indeed good. I am looking forward to trying something different but just as good as their Reuben."

"I went today and tried their chicken breast sandwich, and it came on a croissant with spring mix, tomato, and honey mustard. The sandwich was thin but had amazing flavor. Came with a side, I chose to upgrade it to a fruit cup for a little more money. The fruit was ok, it was cut up in house and some of the melon wasn't ripe yet. All and it it was a good lunch."

"This was my 1st time at a McAlisters and I was McWowed! I had the New Southwest Steak spud with mac cheese, cucumber salad, broccoli c heddar soup, large signature ice tea last but not least NY double chocolate cheesecake. The spud entree was top five I ever had with alot of succulent steak slices, cheddar cheese sour scream and the potato was huge-enough food for a whole day and only $12 is a great value. The mac cheese was perfect-thick, creamy delicious. The broccoli cheddar soup was also a top five ever item for me! The NY double choc. cheesecake was rich, dense and super delicious. It satisfied my regular chocolate craving. Service by Manager Hector, counter staff Tara Ryan was top 1% at any restaurant I've patronized. This restaurant is run extremely well! The dining area is large, very clean with a pleasant upbeat ambience. This is the best deli restaurant I've been to in Tempe and top five in Arizona."

"I just want to shout out who ever was running the store last night. What a wonderful woman. I was dinning in with my mother and our order was taking an unusual amount of time. I went and asked about it and was apologized to and assured my order would be right out, which it was. We began to eat and what I assume was the manager came over to the table and set the money for our order on the table and said we never should of had to wait that long for our food. What an amazing woman. I want to be very clear that I did NOT ask for a refund, I was not being a Karen or anything like one, she simply felt it was the right thing to do. This woman deserves a huge raise if anyone above her reads this!!! She made the bad day I was having end with a smile on my face. Thank you!!"

"05/23/22: I ordered online for a late lunch (3:00ish pm). Only about 3-4 eating inside when I showed up. My food wasn’t at the pick up so I had to wait in line to get my food. Service was slow for having not very many people inside, but 4-5 employees working. Food was good. Ordered broccoli cheese soup, club sandwich, and an unsweet peach tea. I wished there were online options of having condiments on the side inside on the sandwich. Just nitpicking. I appreciated that’s the sandwich came in a “green” container. A little bit helps the environment."

"My Ruben was very fresh and juicy, but my son was disappointed with his sandwich of grilled chicken club as king size. He only got a very small amount of meat on his sandwich and the other sandwich combined was just vegetables. The portion was so small that it would feed a 5 year old. "We were from another state and stayed a few nights in town. We ate at this point and after we returned to the hotel in downtown-Charlotte, several miles away, realized that we left our Ipad on the table. My wife called back there and they had it and the manager offered to bring it to the Mccalisters who are closest to us and throw it away instead of having to go back so far! Can't say enough about how great the manager was and appreciate him going out his way to do this for us. I'm sorry we couldn't remember his name, but in the middle of the whole cuckoo he slipped from us."

"I love this place! For me the BLT-A is with an additional page of Kraut Mayo and this time extra bacon and a cup of broccoli cheese soup! The piece of avocado makes the sandwich 'pop'. As you can see in my picture, the extra bacon was above the top, I find the normal amount of bacon is enough, but the question is, can you ever have enough bacon? This is as good as it comes to lunch, we often visit the staff is great and the food is always 100% on point!"
