"had our jubilee dinner here last night. everyone took care of us very well when we arrived. the dinner was delicious and the decor was beautiful. "I had heard of this restaurant through a friend who frequents the owners smaller pasta bar on the Avenue in Hampden. The Emporio has an unusual wine list and a delightful short menu. All the dishes, meat (lamb , fish (perch , pasta dishes (mushroom ravioli , and seafood (Cozze/mussels were really excellent (and we are a picky, foodie, bunch . As to the wines, I knew very few, if any, of the selections and the server and I decided on a light red that could go with the various meal choices. She recommended a Petit Pissarres from Priorat (a light french grenache she said... Well for 27.00 we had a wonderful BIG chewy inky SPANISH Penedes. Granacha and Samos blend. A wonderful find. Luckily we still had some bubbles for the perch client ! Deserts were also right on, the chocolate creme brulee is worth a try. A lovely night for all. JWZ"

"we went there to celebrate a birthday and it was our first time in antica osteria. as responsible for the arrangements, I chose it because of the excellent reviews and the promising menu. a amateur cook itself (when a more dedicated) I am always interested in high-quality ingredients and properly balanced aromen and exactly delivered. the yellow fin tuna carpaccio was absolutely perfected. the calamari fritti may look easy to cook but to get it right, which is crispy on the outside and on the inside is not easy: undercook it and get the texture of rubber bands; overcook them and all aroma is gone. antica osteria has it not only right: it also has the best I have eaten in the old. as made for the house pasta, it is all that must be good pasta, the right texture cooked to perfection and improve the delicious aromas of sauces and its ingredients. desserts were at the same high level and the limoncello gelato should not be missed. the service is excellent and the personal friendly and very helpful. combined with the great eating and a beautiful ambiente, all this adds to a wonderful culinary experience worth every minute and every dollar. I'm sorry I needed so long to go there, but I'm more than ready for many return."

"When you're looking for a neighborhoody Italian joint serving up the classics, this is a great choiceI went once in the summer and sat on their lovely back patio with fairy lights a really sweet spot for al fresco dining. We shared a calzone and really enjoyed it it was big. We also got a ravioli dish, which was yummy.More recently, I went on a Sunday night around 8:30 and we were able to call ahead to confirm we could walk in. Our server was super friendly and attentive. They offer complimentary onion focaccia with romesco sauce which was delicious. We ordered three things to share: fried squash blossoms basically a mozzarella stick with a piece of squash inside eggplant parm (comes with penne vodka) on point renditions of classic, big portions Kim salad what you'd expect per the ingredients on the menu, nothing unique All in all, this is a homey spot with a historic ambiance (it's an old carriage house that they preserved and built upon with additions). I'd go back for a calzone, to try pizzas, and to check out their brunch!"

"Was born and raised in Grand rapids. Moved away several years ago. Had the opportunity to come back. I look forward to a Vitale's Pizza. What I had was not a Vitale's Pizza. I've had better Frozen pizzas than that. Absolutely no cheese. The crust was something I've never experienced on a supposed Pizza place. Pizza service sucked would not recommend this place. It's just nothing more than a glorified franchise with a whole bunch of TVs"

"Terrible experience. We walked into the restaurant and were given difficulty about our reservation by the hostess. Sat us at a table in the middle of the restaurant and many employees walked by us. We were not given menus or water and nobody came to greet us. There were only a few other parties in the whole dining room. We got up and left after waiting and waiting with no acknowledgement. They must have sat us at the invisible table or something. When we told the hostess we were going to leave, she did not even turn around to talk with us or even acknowledge that we were speaking to her."

"One of the first restaurants I ate at after moving to NYC 6 years ago and has been a favorite ever since. Amazing atmosphere, summer patio, and great food and wine never disappoint. "I can't say enough amazing things about Testo. We come here multiple times a month and the food is always amazing. Highly recommend the polipo (octopus , mussels, tortelli, and gnudi (their homemade pasta is better than Lilia in my opinion! . They also have an amazing brunch, one of the best chicken sandwiches in the city.We did their $65 per person special for a surprise birthday dinner for my sister last night, which includes 5 apps, 5 mains, dessert, and unlimited house wine.
