"I 'm older, Stanford is older. This is still a nice stop, likely at times a very nice place. With today 's prices $35 with tip for great burger/fries/iced tea) its nice to go somewhere that rewards that with solid execution on the food. The service is still very good, likely top for this segment of restaurant. The decor, and fit and finish of the room remains very nice, right on the verge of elegant. They had the fireplace going today, a sunny but cool Monday. I came in with a group of co-workers that seems to be a theme). I can make the observation that something is a bit more casual about the people that come. I 'm not at all trying to wish this place into snobbery- that 's what I have liked about it, the democracy of anyone that can afford it here can feel comfortable. There is a slice of clientel that has the money or credit). I saw more jeans today, I saw more flannel shirts. I still saw suits/jackets. ties, dresses and nice shoes- so the 2014 version that I first encountered is still here. I suspect dinner is a bit of a different crowd and dress code.
