"Charlie Brown's in Penfield is definitely our place for special occasions, family celebrations where we from the city guests for wonderful food and great service. Today (Wednesday, 5 August 2015) I had dinner there with a group of friends meeting at CB once a month. The food was wonderful. I had the pork chop. It was a delicious, generous and thick cut that was boiled directly with afantastic fruit glaze from this world. I even took the bone home to remove any last juicy morsel from the bone. Of course, the salad was a great starter with the peppercorn dress, and the vegetables were right. The deserts are all good, but one of my favorites is the rice pudding. Make sure the server only heats it a bit. This improves the caramel topping and the tip of the whipped cream. By the way, if you like greens and beans, CBs is the best. Same with the Risotto! Not only is the food great, but the portions are generous, the service is gracious, professional and friendly, and the prices are quite reasonable!. The wine list is very varied and there is always a new special vintage to taste. For my husband and me and our friends and family, Charlie Brown is the best..
