"Ponchatoulas is a rather odd mix between a dive bar, a Cajun joint, and a family dining restaurant. But it works! The specialty is seafood, as expected. Shrimp, crawfish and catfish are all staples of the menu, but it also includes wings, burgers, salads, and the rest of the general pub fare. I sat at the bar and ordered a combo platter with filé gumbo, crawfish tails, and a salad, downing it with a mug of a local IPA. Servers were awesome; friendly, polite and attentive. Definitely worth stopping by for food, or even for the ambience!"
