"Hostess staff and overall ambiance of this restaurant could stand an upgrade given the hype and the menu prices. Host was squirrelly and unkept. Lighting is too bright. No candlelight on tables, harsh lighting and no music contribute to the lack of ambiance and explain why the customers on a Saturday evening are primarily senior citizens. That said, the crab avocado stack was very delicious. We were not impressed by the presentation or the taste of the chicken marsala or the chicken parmigiana. The fresh green beans were good. The highlight of the meal was the excellent dessert selection. The Death by Chocolate Cake and the Chocolate Cheesecake Bar were huge and absolutely fabulous!!!! With a few adjustments, this restaurant could be excellent."

"Great Service! Tasty sushi! My husband and I are regulars here, eating as often as once a week. It's a great date night for us because we can always get a table, order and eat great tasting food and be back home faster than you'd wait to get a table almost anywhere else on Lincoln Ave on a Friday or Saturday night. I prefer the slight variations in preparation here over the one in Japantown. We recommend: The Japantown, Super Spicy Bakudan, Singapore roll, hanabi roll, Yam Yam, and tuna and salmon sashimi are great! The chicken teriyaki dinners are delicious for the less adventurous or kids."

"We have been dining at Weathervane for many years. I will say that my most recent experience was not up to par although I am certainly willing to give the restauarant another try at some point. We drive in from Raleigh to dine there and we expect more than we received this past visit. We feel that the staff was the biggest difference this time around. The hostess was unfriendly and ignored a question I asked her. Our waitress was very nice but did not serve us well. I attribute that completely to her other tables upstairs while we were seated downstairs. It would have been a lot for any server to handle. The family seated next to us was annoying due to their two young children holding the reins and being rather noisy. This, of course, does not reflect directly on the restaurant but was just one of a series of unfortunate events."

"The food at this restaurant is absolutely delicious, but the portion sizes are small and the prices are a bit high for what you receive. Even after ordering several small, medium, and salumi plates for our group of four, we still left feeling slightly hungry. The dishes are beautifully presented and full of intricate flavors. The cocktails were tasty but a bit light on the alcohol content. The service was excellent and we were well taken care of throughout our meal. The decor is trendy and adds to the enjoyable atmosphere of the restaurant. Overall, a great dining experience with just a few minor drawbacks."

"Food was good. However their menu items are outdated. The menu doesn't list all the dishes and it doesn't organized which dosh is on what colored plate. This means you are taking a chance at trying to find the dish you want. The whole point of conveyor belt sushi is to properly organize dishes by color plate and give clear pictures that represent what is on the belt. The fact it doesn't do either is troubling. The waitresses even told me the dish may not always be on the same colored plate as if it's slapped on at random. Par thst with missing items in the menu and it feels like I am not being g told pricing of the plates nor know what to expect. Last of all thr menu guide they provide is 95% crab dishes. I am allergic to crab, but the fact that there is little variety of visible dishes on thr menu makes ordering hard."

"We gave this place a second chance and they failed again. We are missing 2 items from our delivery order. Last time we were missing one item. So I wouldn't recommend getting food from them unless you pick it up yourself and check to make sure you recieved everything. The food is ok. It's not bad but nothing special. And just a not to those ordering pizza here. It's very garlicky. So if you love garlic then you'll probably like it. If you don't like garlic then you'll hate it."
