We paid over $100 for sugar flowers to be added to our cake and feel like they were sparse with the decoration. There are gaps at the top and bottom of the design. I attached a picture to show the unfinished look of the design. We were so disappointed by the cake that we did a private cake cutting rather than having everyone come and see the cake. This is one of the few pictures we took of the cake.Ten days before the wedding, the bakery called us to double check the headcount (which was fine) but once they realized that we were a few people short of our headcount they proceeded to charge us more for a cake that we had already paid in full. Based on the owner's explanation it was my venue that decided not to pay for the $24 of extra cake, which I paid for and did not get to take home with me. When I was called 10 days before the wedding, the person who called me from Chocolate Carousel was unable to articulate why I owed additional money so I want to thank the owner for clearing that miscommunication up.I still believe that an additional row of flowers on the third tier of cake would have completed the design. A cascading design should get fuller at the bottom not narrower. It looks odd to have one flower floating at the bottom of the cake by itself."
