"First, the service: Claire, our server, was very friendly and attentive. We felt appreciated. Second, the atmosphere: Cozy; and you can get a table in a quiet corner, as we requested. And third, the food: The front end of the menu is definitely Mediterranean style, and the Crispy Rock Shrimp and Calamari fit into that description. It was a large helping of tender shrimp and squid fried up in a light tempura batter...plenty generous for two. The togarashi (Japanese) spice was a little off-theme, but gave the dish quite a kick, while the spicy aioli actually cooled things off. The King Crab Risotto was full of cheese flavor, and the crab pieces were plentiful. However, the pan-roasted salmon was unimpressive. The fingerling potatoes were delicious, but the sun-dried tomato pesto just had a strange, not so pleasant flavor. The wine list seemed rather expensive, which tended to drive up the cost of dinner."
