"Clio has closed for good. The food was excellent, winning many awards and accolades over the years. I had the nine-course tasting menu and, while I had many tasty courses, did not feel overstuffed when I left. The dishes were as beautiful to look at as they were delicious to taste. While all were memorable, the one I will mention was a kind of a custard with mushroom and abalone floating on top. A smokey flavor was added, not directly to the custard but to the air over the custard, from a small pile of smoldering wood twigs extinguished and covered by an abalone shell. The smell was a lovely addition to the overall experience of the dish. The last service was on December 30."
