"We went to the restaurant for brunch on Sunday at 12:30. The food was excellent and reasonably priced. The only downside was that the waiter appeared to be more focused on attending to all customers rather than sticking to assigned sections, which resulted in slow service. However, overall the service was good and friendly. This was my first time dining there and I am looking forward to visiting again."

"I was charged $19 for soup and a handful of fries. The soup clearly say $5.50 on the menu for the larger size. I didn’t see a price for an order of fries but figured everything together would be around $12-$13. When I called to ask what happened after my partner came home with the food they told me they charged me about $12 for the soup alone. I questioned why I wasn’t charged what was on the menu and was told that they only serve soup for that price when you eat in the restaurant. This was not specified on the menu whatsoever, nor was it mentioned to me when I called to order. I was begrudgingly told I could return for a $5 refund but I don’t feel like dragging myself out of bed with the stomach bug. I’ve always gone here because it is convenient but after this experience and the multiple times I’ve found hair in my food (at least 3) I will not be returning."

"Our son’s favorite restaurant. Salad bar is usually clean and tidy. This visit, there must’ve been a lot of patrons because several of the containers were nearly empty and the dressings were mixed together. The salad dressing area was pretty messy. Our food was good though."

"AUTION: DELICIOUS Breakfast at any time! Oh, man, I was so happy that we found this cool diner before our hike in Hudson Highland State Park. The brunch we had was delicious, filled and very generous. We had three separate commands: Nutella Banans French toast (aka sky on earth), buttermilk pancakes with eggs and bacon, and an order of the western omelette accompanied by rye roasted and Homefries Everything was made with love, almost perfection! This place is really clean, has friendly waiters, and a cool 1950s Diner Vibe go. We will certainly come back, even if it is only to eat! I wish more places would have this house like Style Diner. Just a head up, the coffee is also amazing! Bring the family and enjoy! Ps: The portions are large."

"I only had a few minutes to grab something to shove in My face and was in this area so I decided to stop by and order a breakfast sandwich to-go and I 'm glad I did because it was amazingly delicious and filling. Can 't ever go wrong with a Taylor Ham, Egg and Cheese on a Roll with extra Meat added, they say that breakfast is the most important meal of the day and I 'm not really sure who they are but they definitely know what they 're talking about. Now years ago I also remember stopping in here a few times long before this app even existed or at least long before I knew Yelp existed I should say, but whatever I 'm here now and that 's all that really matters. Anyway getting back to the Montville Diner I 've always liked this spot and I seriously have to make it a regular stop whenever I 'm over this way. Who knows maybe next time I 'll have some extra time on my hands and grab a sit down style meal. Come And Get Your Munch On!!"

"Enjoyed brunch with a friend, I had turkey club (no bacon) with onion rings and clam chowder soup.He enjoy french toast with strawberry, whipped cream, eggs and sausage.We both had coffee and waterThe portion are not disappointing you may take a portion of it home for later.The 4 star was due to the wait which is not normal for this establishment.Probably a new waitress or cook.She was very apologized for the delay."

"Update 10/29/19: I ordered the same meal but unfortunately NOTHING was the same. the gravy was nonexistent, the “meat” was not browned, it tasted disgusting and I’m shocked to say this! It was my favorite meal. It tasted so bad, I called back afterwards to make sure the chef didnt change recently! I ordered it to go and i still tipped 20. I will try it one more time in the restaurant but I will NEVER order to go from them again!!! My original review below:: 4 stars:: WOW!!! Flavor profile party !!!! When I first walked it, I thought it was “interesting “. The menu is an old fashioned newspaper format and there are some interesting decorations. I ordered the Shepard’s pie-Veggie......ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE!!!!!!! i wish i could swim in a pool of it!!!!!"

"This restaurant is very accommodating and provides excellent service. We brought our disabled uncle who lives nearby and were all warmly welcomed. Special thanks to Michael Robert from RTM Junk removal for a great meal and wonderful service. Wheelchair accessibility was important for us and the staff promptly opened the door for us. "there are 2 nights as we had the food package. the food was good, but the service was missing. we waited a long time for drinks in the bar area and I asked for coffee with dessert and never got it. the second night did not eat in the bar area and had the tomatenbisque, which was delicious, but very filled, so asked to bring a container home. I asked 3 times and all three times was said that it would come, but never. also ordered coffee with dessert and it never came again. no coffee and no container before we're gone. the food was good, but the service was missing."

"Best Irish pub and restaraunt I have been to! The only thing I don't like about this place is the fact that it is 8.5 hours away from my house!!! Whenever I am in NY again, I will be eating at Slattery's. HIGHLY recommend the Bangers and Mash, Sheppards Pie, and the Corned Beef Sandwich!"
