"I had made two custom cakes in La Promenade, one for my wedding and one for my birthday. Both cakes were delicious! We asked for something simple for our wedding and they delivered perfect to talk to them about email was enough. For the birthday I went to talk to them a few weeks before the event, but they were too busy right now and asked if they could call me. About the phone I described what I wanted on pictures on their gallery for reference, and they said no problem. They also came with the great idea of a cake for display and another for extra portions to satisfy the amount of cake for ~35 people without having a big cake that they would look like a wheel. When we picked up the cake, it wasn't at all what we had discussed, and we brought it back and asked them to fix it. They were not happy and hung up the phone to me, but the person I spoke to cool down and called me back a few minutes later. There was a wrong communication about the colors I wanted (I wanted the same colors as the cake on the gallery, but she thought I wanted only some of the colors on this cake, not all and they do not do a good work with ombré. They changed it to a point where I was happy, it no longer looked like a 5 year old princess cake, but it wasn't exactly what I wanted (as you can see in the picture, the cake was striped, not ombré and was a headache. My advice would be to go personally and make sure you explain your idea whether there is no exact picture of reference."
