"I love this little place with tasty Veggie Sushi. I recently switched back to being vegetarian and had been craving sushi. This restaurant is fantastic, located in the heart of downtown Livermore. I especially enjoyed sitting outside and listening to live music from a nearby restaurant. The sushi was delicious and the beer selection was great. The restaurant was clean and organized. I will definitely be returning to this spot."

"The restaurant has a lovely Japanese decor and a diverse menu. The Japanese curry, a rare find, was delicious. The Volcano Salad was also tasty and generously portioned. The staff was friendly and attentive. The ambiance was relaxing, although the presence of a TV deducts a star in my rating. I am excited to return and try other dishes."

"We wanted to try a new place in Marin and found this recommendation on-line via OpenTable. When we first got there, we we not impressed by the decor/clutter inside the restaurant. There were to-go containers scattered all over the sushi bar, clutter everywhere. The TVs above the Sushi bar were pointed to the ceiling and generally the decor was very tired and uninviting. The waiter (only one in the entire restaurant) was swamped and had to be called every time we needed something or wanted to order. The food was good, but the prices were very high for the quality of the experience overall. We have been to many of Marin's Sushi Restaurants and this was by far the worst. There were two couples who can in after we had arrived, sat down and waited so long for the waiter they both got up and left. Missed opportunity for this restaurant. We should have done the same. Total bill for 4 people $192.00. Quite pricy for what it was. Do not go there."

"There was only one party here when we arrived at 6PM on a Sunday and they had just finished so we had the place all to ourselves. I love the design-Japanese modern. There is metered street parking available, but you don't have to pay on Sundays.We looked at the menu via the QR code and were not prompted to create a profile. You can order online, but our waiter actually took our order which we appreciated. He was very nice and welcoming from the moment we stepped foot inside. I started off with the Ahi Tuna Poke which came with wonton chips. The chips were slightly too oily, and there weren't enough. I finished the chips with about 3 spoonfuls of poke left. The texture of the poke pairs so well with the chips though and the sauce is very flavorful. (A bit too salty once you get to the bottom)The dragon roll had great quality. I didn't need to dip it into shoyu as the sauce was enough. The best part of this was the ginger. I was amazed at how fresh and crunchy it was. No wonder it's offered as its own side dish on the menu!The shoyu ramen comes with thinner noodles than traditional ramen, but they were perfectly cooked. This was my favorite dish."

"GREAT RESTAURANT!!! If you've never had Mofongo, you have to try!! And what's better than here? While the atmosphere is not the cream of the harvest, the food and service are excellent!! It is a small family business with a great menu. Prices are incredibly low, especially if you make it for early bird specialities. But as I started my review, try the mofongo, try the mofongo, try the mofongo!!!"

"Yes, it is a revolving sushi bar but you do not have to eat off of the belt. The food is always fresh and tastes great! These chefs know their sushi and how to build a good roll. We mostly eat what is going around on the belt because it is easy. The staff here are always friendly - I have never finished a drink without someone asking if I need a refill first. I have been here many times with friends and family and will continue to go here many more times."

"Indoor dining is not available yet at this restaurant. Ordering takeout is very simple, just a quick phone call away. I highly recommend the Oki combo, which includes a California roll, 6 pieces of nigiri Omakase, and 4 pieces of omakase sashimi for $26. It's a great deal and very filling. The ramen here is also delicious. While the individual rolls like the Lion King roll or 49er roll are okay, they can feel a bit pricey compared to the Oki combo, which has similar elements and more for the same price. Individual rolls are around $15 each, while the Oki combo is $26."

"I'm in the Navy, I've had a LOT of sushi. You have no idea. But when I had their Kayla Roll, I've never distinctly have had a previous favorite so utterly shattered. It's my favorite roll now. What a hidden gem! I'll agree the staff is fantastic but I don't know how you can't mention these rolls. They're mind blowing!"

"This was the best sushi place in DT Orlando! I'm a big advocate for supporting hidden gems in any city I stay in and coming back to Orlando, I'm shocked by how affordable but high quality the food was here. There were a ton of options to choose from and the tuna, salmon, and yellowtail sashimi (my must have at any sushi restaurant) were very fresh. The eel and sweet shrimp were my favorite though, I'd definitely come back for that. The service was incredible and so friendly. Our server Brian was knowledgeable and even recommended our party a sake to specifically pair with our sushi. We had such a wonderful experience, if you're ever in the Orlando area I highly recommend checking Shakai out!!!!!!!!"
