"Tonight we met one of our former neighbors in Wangs in the desert for Happy Hour; the place to be on Friday night. I have no idea. It seems that there are different places to be with the “In Crowd” depending on the night of the week. I don't think this was always the case, because I remember eating at Wang when it first opened, and I don't remember Fridays being different than any other day. However, since then we have discovered that Wangs is where the boys go on Fridays for happy hour. And I mean hundreds. You can hardly move. They're really gonna take those $2 drinks. It seems that the Los Angeles Party guys are starting their weekends. We gave it back tonight. It was full. Once we had our place, we didn't move. Everyone was in good mood, the alcohol fled and everyone was in a great spirit. Fortunately, our friend had made reservations or who knows how long we had to wait for food. This was also great: Coconut Chicken, Tangerine Beef, Sichuan Auberginen, Kung Pao Chicken and Kung Pao Shrimp and Scallops. And since I really don't like Chinese food, this is the only Chinese restaurant I found that I love most of all. A little wine and we left tired and happy."
