"My family and I bought a few dishes to share family style at home.Our favorite dish was the jerk chicken with cabbage and plantains. It was very delicious. The jerk had the right amount if spice to it. The sauce that comes with it is so tasty that you want to eat it on everything!Second favorite was the Rasta Pasta with Chicken and an Alfredo type of sauce. It was so yummy and almost a tie with the Jerk Chicken dish.We ordered a side of Mac and Cheese that was ok.The oxtail meal was an expensive dish. I believe it was around $27. The oxtails smelled and looked delicious, but unfortunately it had an aftertaste that we could not stomach. We even put the dish in the fridge to try it next day but ended up throwing it away because the aftertaste was too distinct.Overall, we decided we would definitely go back based on how great two of the dishes tasted. Those two dishes are the kind of food you reminicse on and want again and again!"

"Looked forward to trying a black owned jamaican restaurant. The 1 star is based off of never even trying the food, strictly over the customer service. After reading the reviews I was excited to see what the great customer service and food was about. I walked into an empty restaurant (I'm the ONLY customer), since I was not greeted, I then said hello and expressed what I would have liked to order. "While on our way home my wife and I came across Dexter's Kitchen. We stopped inside to order a bite for the ride home, a Bake and Saltfish Buljol (a bit if red pepper added) with a side order of okra. The first bite of the Bake was hot euphoria that rushed through me so fast I felt my clothes falling off with delight (shokugeki no soma/food wars reference). My wife asked if it delicious. I let her have a bite and as she did have the same delicious reaction that I did.We turned around and went back to order dinner, which is seen in the picture below. 2 bake and Saltfish Buljol, order of okra, and an oxtail soup. We are looking forward to the many more visits and meals that will come. Anyone passing by I recommend anything that you have read within these words. The spice is nice and the meal will leave you happily satisfied. Worth. Every. Bite."

"This is my second time ordering from this place. Im pregnant and craving some good jamaicain dish. The first time the order was missing items but this time around the oxtail was so hard, I couldnt even eat it. I also chose a side of plantain and got two slices of plantain with my meal. I really wanted to givethis place a try but you can't pay $30 for a meal that sucks."

"That's the worst I've ever had. I ordered the curry chicken and curry goat roti. It's been 5 days since I had it and it still sends me to the bathroom. It didn't taste good so I didn't eat everything, but I guess it was enough. Don't eat there. Child-friendly: Your desk worker wasn't friendly at all. I don't recommend it."
