"The food is a tired menu from 1 1/2yrs ago. The same things were not as good, which makes me think they are using a sous chef to do the prep. I was here about 6 months ago and it was better but again the same food. Service was the biggest letdown. Previous service had a way of making the experience. This waitress was simply overmatched, and did not fit a quality dining establishment. What was worse was her annoying voice tone. Unfortunately she was the only service in the restaurant. along with an excellent busser who was here previously. Truly, he should be the server."

"First I want to say Chris, our server, was wonderful! I also want to say we have eaten at Rio Grill some half a dozen times and felt it good enough to keep coming. This time we ordered the Arugula salad that was lovely and light, perfect size for sharing as a first course. We ordered the half slab of pork ribs, the flavor was good but they were the toughest ribs my husband and I have ever had. It came with a slaw that was so-so and the sweet potato chips were rubbery and difficult to chew. Never did I expect chips to be of such a consistency. Wasn’t sure if they had been sitting out for a while, or if they were under cooked, but it was an unpleasant consistency. Wondering if sweet potato fries would be an easier option for the cooking staff? We got laughing about how much chewing was required of the main course and agreed that we were concerned that our jaw would be sore by morning. Again, our server was very good and none of the food issues were his problem. But the food wasn’t worth coming back for. Sadly, we were disappointed."

"We were a large party of 8 and had 4 more joined us at the last minute. They could not have been nicer. They accommodated the extra people and were so pleasant. We had two children with us and drinks were served in non spill cups and their food was brought out right away. Our food was delicious. Such a wonderful evening. Thank you Rio Grill!"

"This place is great! The Irish coffees are as good as the Buena Vista in SF (probably better) and the food is delicious - we usually get the smoked salmon. Good mixed drinks. And if you want to get a guinness somewhere, that's the place. It tastes so much better from a tap in an Irish bar... it's science or something. Finally, their whisky selection is the best in Sacramento hands down. Ultimately, the hot crispy bread pudding desert with ice is crazy delicious and sweet."

"So the family and I went for dinner and it was delicious we had , calamari ,clam chowder , calzone and a pizza ... Let me tell you if you like calzones like I do it's top tier in taste it comes with dipping sauce that was fire .. they made a mistake with the pizza but it wasn't a big deal they just added pineapple but I was my fault I told them pineapple at first but then the kids just wanted pepperoni it was delicious and they even gave us a free dessert. You won't regret eating here!!!!"

"Had their original craft cocktails and everyone loved their choices. We each ordered a salad and then split 2 of the pasta entrees, penne ala vodka with chicken and a pasta with lobster, asparagus, Brie Both were delicious and exactly as described. We sat outside by the water and the weather was delightful. A little quieter outside so we were able to talk enjoy."

"I was so very pleased with the lunch that I had at Joe Senser's. The service was great- very efficient and friendly. Food was outstanding. Enjoyed the Walleye Poor Boy sandwich. My date had the chicken sandwich and she was very pleased . Margaritas were very good. The entire process went so well that she agreed to go out with me on a second date. "When my soup arrived as an appetizer, I found a long hair inside the bowl after a few spoonfuls, so I returned it. I declined the waiter's offer of a replacement dish as I was concerned it might come from the same pot as the original bowl. Instead, I ordered a different, slightly more expensive appetizer. When the bill arrived, I was surprised to see that Mirabelle had charged me for the more expensive substitute appetizers. I expected that they would not charge me, as other restaurants have done in similar situations with their food quality issues (which are very rare for me). Additionally, both my wife and I found our dishes to be too salty (despite regularly enjoying well-cooked food - the fish and lamb were overly salty). I chose not to dispute the charges for the appetizer or the salty food at the restaurant, as I did not want to cause a scene during our anniversary celebration at this very elegant restaurant."

"Nice atmosphere lively without being too loud. The server was friendly and attentive and checked to see if an appetizer that had been sold out earlier in the day was available again (it was! . My husband had the Basmati Rice Bowl with chicken and I had the chorizo burger. Both were excellent. My only disappointment was with the fries they were typical and given the creativity of the rest of the menu, I expected more. That's the only reason I didn't give the food a 5 so kind of nit picky on my part. We also had the baked Halloumi cheese (a must which was great. Overall, a good value and we would go often if we lived in the area."

"We had a group of about 30 because we were in town for a baseball tournament. They were so courteous! The service and the food were both great. Gratuity was included and sometimes lacking service when this is the case, but not here, they were fantastic! The manager came by and talked to us and the children afterwards. I love to see management presence."

"My lunchmate just had a cheeseburger medium rare and she said it is the best burger she has ever had except for the ones she makes at home. I had a club sandwich would have preferred it on white bread not toasted guess I didn't check the menu close enough but it was okay. It did get a bit loud with a bunch of guys sitting up at the bar so it was hard to hear each other"
