"This restaurant never disappoints. It 's a bit of a drive from any major city but well worth it and the scenery is breathtaking. There are a number of oyster farms along with way but save your appetite and have it all at Nick 's Cove. The fresh oysters, raw of course, always a treat! However, my absolute favorites are 1) the to-die-for Mac and Cheese with Dungeness Crab and (2) the Cioppino. It 's made with a thicker tomato base rather than a watery tomato-ish broth. Flavorful and overly filling. If you are there for lunch, have their fish and chips or better yet, share this dish and opt for the Cioppino and share that too. If you are there for dinner, be sure and order the do-it-yourself S 'mores. They bring you everything you need to roast and assemble your own S 'mores in their large stone fireplace. You can also take a walk out to the fisherman 's shack at the end of the pier, sitting on Tomales Bay. Nick 's Cove also has cottages that can be rented. Idyllic bay side retreat. Each cottage has a different theme or decor. If you haven 't been, put this on your list of places to dine and stay... If you haven 't been in a while, return. You 'll wonder what kept you away for so long!"
