"molly’s offers 3 frosting 2 cupcake options for vegans. for freezing: edible butter, chocolate and vanilla. for cupcakes: chocolate vanille. they can add whatever they want to their preferred basics. when they come in molly’s, there are all kinds of pretty cupcakes in the offer, but none of those in the display are vegan. they pull vegans from container behind the counter and then add frosting. it is a kind of grief that they do not offer fun options, such as their standard emission cupcakes. at their moines location they sometimes have vegan specialties or filled vegan cupcakes. but in iowa city it is exactly the same three. I'm glad they have vegan options, but I wish they were more exciting. I want a reason to get in more often. the cakes are a little dense. they are easier at scratch cupcakery in coralville. in general, I would recommend scratch over molly’s. (plus, they have fun, daily changing aromen on scratch the soy lattes are however at mollys grandios, and the ambiente is really sweet. they could wipe the tables more often."

"This a standard bistro inside a courtyard Marriott. They have Starbucks coffee. They prepare a limited menu to order and some of the items are actually cooked heated like a Starbucks.There isn't much of a vibe at breakfast but at dinner or after dinner it becomes more chill to hang out and have a drink. The cocktail and wine menu is limited but they have an extensive craft beer selection (all cans and bottles). They have mostly IPAs regardless of the season.The servers are always engaging."

"We were in for Christmas Day, where there was a special 5 course menu. Server was nice, but clearly overworked/understaffed, and so service was slow. Until we complained, it took forever to get our food. We waited for our third course for almost an hour, and it was just a salad. This confused us; we didn’t need to wait for anything to cook, so why the delay? When we spoke up, the service finally sped up after that. I had the turkey while everyone also had steak. Everyone loved their entree; but my turkey dish left much to be desired unfortunately. Same for dessert. The appetizer and soup was delicious. My salad was supposed to come with candied walnuts, but there were none.. overall not the best dining experience. I do understand it was very busy, and it can be difficult to staff well on Christmas Day, so I would give them another opportunity."

"we came for our 8:15 reservation at 8:00 and had to wait 45 minutes our order in the first 5 minutes. get our salad and appetizer within 10 minutes 45 minutes later we were not our desserts served and nobody could tell us what happened. several people came in after the ordering and they were served their meal, at this point we decided to go and to outback steakhouse and had a good meal within 30 minutes. will not go back to the bistro."

"I ordered three desserts and weve been enjoying them. The Jawn tasted solely like cookie dough which I didnt love by itself but once I ate all three layers together, it was tasty. The Dirty Jawn was similar, and we were able to split both into multiple servings. They are larger than expected and very thick yet soft and easy to eat with a fork or spoon. The banana pudding was my favorite! At first, I was nervous that it would be the banana flavored pudding mix. It is a fluffy vanilla pudding with sliced bananas and Nilla wafers. It reminded me of my homemade version which I occasionally whip up using a famous bakerys recipe. I would order again in the future."
