"good time good food! my fianced and I have been showing up for our reservation at 18:00 clock and decided to take a place in most full cash. the energy on site was positiw and lively on a Saturday evening, with many friends and couples eating, drinking and talking. good mood overall. the bartender welcomed us quite quickly and produced too solid martinis. soon after we ordered dinner. I have the short rib pasta and she had that huh. the pasta was well prepared with decent aromen. not sure that I would get it again, but that says more about my mood taste than is about the quality of the plate pretty good. the chicken was very crispy on the outside, but juicy and tender on the inside (hard to do, right, imo). the court came with potatoes and roasted vegetables, all very well prepared. I'll get the court next time (or the sirloin steak). the point is, we will be back. solid choice on salem’s main road and probably a go forward for us (we live in the beverly area)."

"I was pleasantly surprised by this restaurant. My friends and I decided to visit after being turned away from some of the trendy spots in Southport on a Monday night. We sat on the patio and enjoyed a few beers. Our server, Alejandro, was excellent and provided us with great recommendations. We were amazed to discover that all drafts were only $4 after our second round of drinks. The food, including tenders and fries, was delicious and perfect for a bar setting. The restaurant had a large selection of drafts, a great patio, delicious food, and excellent service. We will definitely be returning in the future."

"As a regular customer, I frequent this restaurant every week to enjoy a meal. I have been a loyal patron for years and have never experienced bad service or food. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and the staff is always friendly. I am surprised by some negative reviews, as I have always seen the employees go above and beyond to ensure that every customer is taken care of. The manager and owners even provide table service when needed and make sure that everything runs smoothly. This is one of the best restaurants in the area and has received numerous awards from satisfied customers."

"Hostess staff and overall ambiance of this restaurant could stand an upgrade given the hype and the menu prices. Host was squirrelly and unkept. Lighting is too bright. No candlelight on tables, harsh lighting and no music contribute to the lack of ambiance and explain why the customers on a Saturday evening are primarily senior citizens. That said, the crab avocado stack was very delicious. We were not impressed by the presentation or the taste of the chicken marsala or the chicken parmigiana. The fresh green beans were good. The highlight of the meal was the excellent dessert selection. The Death by Chocolate Cake and the Chocolate Cheesecake Bar were huge and absolutely fabulous!!!! With a few adjustments, this restaurant could be excellent."

"My husband and I visited Roots on a weeknight and found ourselves to be the only patrons in the restaurant for the entire evening. The waitstaff was inattentive, only checking on us when bringing out food, and we had to ask for more water. The food was disappointing - my husband ordered meat dishes, I ordered vegan options, and we also shared some vegan dishes. We were both unimpressed. The menu at Roots resembled that of other well-known restaurants in Denver, but the dishes lacked flavor, quality, and creativity. The house-made hummus and brussel sprouts were decent, but the heavy reliance on deep-fried dishes for the vegan options was disappointing. The desserts were a letdown, with the chocolate cake tasting freezer-burned and the Swedish cheesecake lacking in taste. Overall, we felt we spent too much money on a mediocre meal and are unlikely to return."

"I am staying at the hotel and work late most nights, so I've been here twice this week. Of the items I've tried not one thing was worth what I paid. The French onion soup was close but the cheese was burnt and the taste permeated throughout the entire bowl. The pork tenderloin was good but the sides were cold. The eggplant is really a plate of melted cheese with a tough sliver of skin-on eggplant. The best things so far are the $2 pints of Miller Lite on Mondays. Because I am here most of the month, I will continue to test the menu in the hopes of finding something that tastes as good as it costs. I'm not holding out much hope. That's too bad because the place has potential. The atmosphere is very nice. Thank goodness I'm on an expense account. I wouldn't want to waste my money on this place."

"there was no server in the regular restaurant we had made a reservation so that I am confused why they do not have a service in the restaurant. we said the hostess, we wanted to order food, not dish, she directed us on the bowl and said someone would help us there. we waited for a table very long before we finally flattened someone who told us that someone would be back with us soon, we waited another 15/20 minutes before we had to find someone as soon as we got a waitress. she was very nice, but everything took very long from drinks and shake to eat. eating was not as good as the last time we were there, we were very disappointed."

"The restaurant inside was almost empty, but I understand it was outdoors on the terrace. Service was fast and friendly. I ordered a steak sandwich that I had to return after a few bites, as it was overcooked, I had ordered medium and it was dry and very well made) and was full of Gristle). The 2nd they brought me was mediocre and no grin and very enjoyable, which almost makes you think that either no one in the kitchen should take note of quality or not care what they sent out of the kitchen. My men's meal was really good. Only that he had to wait until I eat, as they had to cook a second order for me. My husband and I like the wine list here and he and our son also like the variety of craftsmen beers. Not our best experience there, but I would still return and recommend."

"We have been coming here for 28 years. I brought my kids here I brought my grandkids here and my mother-in-law and father-in-law live down the street quarter mile. The last few trips to Rhode Island we were unable to get to Iggy's so it's been a couple of years. We ordered the fish and chips, we ordered red chowder, white chowder and of course clam cake. To say our hearts broke is an understatement. The clam cakes used to be full of clams and had odd shapes because they were hand dropped.. these look definitely balled up like meatballs; like they were shaped.. if not frozen and then reheated. Hardly any clams in the clam cake. My husband was excited when he found one clam chunk; sarcastically excited. I remember boasting about how you could stick a spoon straight up in the chowder..not this one it was runny and watery and disgusting. It didn't even taste like clams it tasted like potato soup..barely. The red chowder wasn't even red it was like a mix between clear and red but someone decided to throw in three little canned tomato pieces. The baked scallops were soggy and disgusting and the french fries, even though I know they come frozen, we're nothing to boast about either. The fish n chips disappointed. It used to be a fish that barely fit in the container and now it's a fish that could fit in one side portion of the container. The baked scrod was not bad but it just looked ick. Iggy's threw a small piece of fish in with some squishy side vegetables and some rice pilaf that look like it came out of a bag premade. All of the lemons they gave us were disgusting and smelled like soap and were oily; so we had to throw them out. The only pictures I could take was right before my husband dumped it all down the sink. We had guests for lunch who had never had Iggy's and we must have boasted and boasted about it for hours before it arrived. We spent well over $240 on this order and I feel like we got ripped off big time by Iggy's. We will not come back anymore. I can understand the price hikes and I can understand the economy but I cannot understand changing recipes that made this place famous. I now feel 100% confident that my white chowder is better than theirs any day of the week. And that is something that I would never have said over the two plus decades we have been coming here. Is so sad when a childhood memory turns into an adult nightmare. Do better Iggy's... Just do better. Economy be damned don't screw with the chowder and the clam cakes. After all that's what made you famous and that was the original menu. -Sad and disappointed, Local Oakland Beacher. They're so-called red chowder is picture here and my mother-in-law sink. I should have just set my money on fire."

"Where do I start?!?!? Now I haven't been to a brunch in ages so I was truly excited to get the opportunity to host a brunch for a travel group I am in. It was a hit!! Service was excellent, food was delicious I am talking clean your plate good, bottomless mimosas and bellinis AMAZING. I truly enjoyed myself and plan on going back until I have had EVERYTHING on the menu lol It was a really cool vibe. Awesome spot for groups because you can enjoy the music playing in background but still hear your conversation and be interactive with people you are with. "Had a great time here with a large group (14). Our server Gilbert has taken care of our group with the other employees and the management. Dishes came nicely plated and at once! Not just for a big table! Great selection of dishes all made very good. Our group ordered at least once about each dish in the menu and everyone seemed enthusiastic. A little expensive, but very typical of a restaurant in a hotel. Would be a great date night or pre/post opera/show spot. We're coming back!"

"This was my second visit in a week, I brought out of town visitors both times. The view is spectacular! This time they were short staffed in the kitchen, they did warn us and luckily we were not in a hurry, but it did take a really long time! Another pet peeve of mine is don't serve Prosecco (sparkling wine) in a wine glass! Overall, still a wonderful experience and the food was excellent! I will return again, most likely with out of town visitors!"

"All my favorite Chinese dishes veganized! Had to be my favorite children, the candied walnut shrimp and Beijing duck rolls, and they did not disappoint! We also did a casole that had great hearty pieces of lion mane mushroom and meatballs. Potted mushrooms and cedar rice were also amazing. You can also have a nice tea time here with their wide selection of teas and dessert options. The berry cheesecake was delicious!"
