"After I grew up in Chicago, I know good Jewish delicacies. To live in Wyoming, I miss it very much. Canters Corned Beef Pastrami Sandwiches were a real treat for this now-small-town girl. I even took some home for my brother's wife. The Corned Beef Pastrami are wonderful the portions are huge! The rye bread potato salad was nothing to write at home, but who cares if the meat is made right. We all loved the bakery products they made the next day an unforgettable breakfast. My Fave was the Hamant, a short-bread-like pastry that surrounds a beautiful apricot filling. Canter's menu is enormous — 7 pages from everything from breakfast article child food to classic deli entrees old-fashioned cocktails. I wanted to return to L.A. to try some things that looked great. Try the smoked wild fish (black cod). We all swore about the buttery, rich, velvety fish with a slightly smoked taste. It is expensive, but the prices on the web are far higher if you can find it. This Deli is open 24 hours and has a food truck that drives around LA."
