"This is the second time my wife and I have eaten at Blue Wave. We had a late lunch and sat outside on the balcony overlooking the pool and marina. My wife had the Mushroom Flatbread w/Pina Colada Margarita and I had the California Club w/ice tea. Both of these items were amazing. Everything was very fresh and very well put together. All you have are reviews to go off of. You can the flatbread and it not be good. Nothing is ever perfect, but I would recommend Blue Wave Bar Grill. This was our experience so I hope it helps to decide. The hostess was very nice and also recommended some places for coffee and pastries when asked. We also had a burger one evening which was good, but I do have to say the bread was a little over seasond. They are located inside the Best Western Plus Island Palms. Enjoy"

"They have an outdoor patio with umbrellas facing the marina and pool area, also indoor eating, and an outdoor counter area that faces the marina. The wait staff was kind friendly and efficient. Menu is rather small (but sometimes for me that makes it easier to choose a meal). The food was excellent! I had the burger and you can taste that it was cooked on a grill. The fries were seasoned and crisp. The other dish was the burrito which my family member says was excellent as well. Prices are about average or a bit lower for a restaurant on the water/resort in San Diego"
