"Made reservations on OpenTable to celebrate my husbands birthday. When we arrived, there was no wait time however, Our table seating was horrible. Seated Right next to the kitchen and in the midst of placing and picking up orders. Requested another table and informed that there were none available. We were sent at this small table that most of our belongings were not able to fit.The Pho appetizer was delicious however revived almost cold. We placed two appetizer orders and had to request pick up for both. Being seated next to the kitchen, we knew that our food was ready before our server. The noise level was terrible. We could hear conversations from all ends of the restaurant. The food was very good and tether expensive. Our bill was about 388 for my husband and I. The service charge was 60 dollars, which was not warranted. Nice decor however the seating made it impossible to enjoy. Probably will not return."

"the place is very busy and seems to have a constant flow of people (we went around 2 on Friday. we have 4 bagel sandwiches. 2 sesame bagels one with cream cheese, one with white fish salad, 2ultihraom bagels, one with cream cheese and salmon, tomato, capern and one with sucker, egg, cheese, tomato, salat and wobble. eating was very good and quickly prepared all around. fresh ingredients. the one problem I saw is that these youngs move so fast that they don't always take care of themselves. my sandwich fell apart when he put it in the bag, but he still forced it. I had to reassemble some when I got it home. overall very good, but hastened, and the English understanding was not great."

"This dinner is part of Hastings history. The atmosphere is great. Marble floors tables and walls. The food was great, and grapefruit juice was fresh. Seinfield and Hasan Minhaje were there for shooting a show. The service was great. The lady who served us was very kind and attentive to our requests. You can walk into the dinner from the back where the parking lot is. It is meter park but you can park for free after 6 pm in the parking lot. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $30–50 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5"

"A fantastic pub feeling that was welcoming and alive. The foods surpassed our expectations as they have used high-quality ingredients (such as complete garlic cloves) to provide a satisfying taste. I have BBQ wings that were super fleshy, saucy, and matched the price. A large selection suggestion and I would recommend to start the Hill Wedge Salad. Also here we are Christmas night, which was a great place that was not a chain."

"This is the perfect spot for a Bushwick group to come together, work, and enjoy a wide selection of food from the menu, as well as wine and beer. "My wife and I wanted to eat breakfast on a Sunday morning in a different place. We decided on this diner because it has the oldtime diner look and we were not disappointed in that it did have the feel as well. All the indoor seating tables have a bright airy touch. There is a counter if you prefer to eat there. The service was instant. I had a short stack of whole wheat blueberry pancakes with coffee, the warm maple syrup in the metal pitcher was a nice touch. My wife had two eggs over-easy with bacon as well as coffee. We both were satisfied with our vittles. The clean bathrooms are downstairs. On a Sunday all metered parking is free and more than ample. Nice place for a change, Hastings is very quaint and great for a short Sunday stroll."

"Ok, so first things first. The food is pretty alright. The snow shrimp was actually really good. None of the fried foods tasted of old oil or anything else typical of Chinese buffets. The food and service are worth 3.5 stars. The price was also very reasonable. Less than $8 for all you can eat. The cleanliness, however, left much to be desired. The dining area smelled of cigarette smoke. And while we were eating, a kitchen worker took a smoke break in the bathroom. This was apparent from the smell which filled the entire restaurant. I went into the bathroom directly after him (mostly to confirm my suspicion) and there is no doubt that he was smoking in the bathroom. Overall appeal of the place is pretty low: old trim, dirty vents, sticky walls, etc. The table was very clean, and the buffet itself was very clean. Take from this what you will. 3 stars is probably a little generous given the whole smoking thing. The food was pretty tasty, the dining experience was not great."

"The ordering and paying process was effortless. You scan the QR code and you can view the menu and pay right there. FYI there's a 20% tip added to the bill for fair pay for the staff. So the portion sizes of the entrees were large! The biscuits in the biscuits and gravy dish were huge but a bit hard . To be honest I haven't had a large, moist vegan biscuit before. The gravy was excellent! The polenta fries needed some salt but a tasty sauce did come with it. The Brussels sprouts were cooked well, I like them a bit firm. The breakfast sandwich really needed the gravy from the biscuits because otherwise it was a bit bland. I would return to try more options!"

"Went here for Mother’s Day. I am not an individual who would usually complain or go out of their way to say something. But the food and overall experience was so terrible I just have to share it. I ordered a French dip sandwich and the meat was practically inedible, I also received a soup for the second half of my meal which you can see from the picture, was an absolute joke. I mentioned the soup to my waiter (French onion soup) and told him how it was just a bunch of bread. He advised that it looked horrible and would discount my bill. They only took $1 off my bill, which is honestly more insulting then not doing anything at all. In addition they forgot the salad my mom ordered and paid price for everything (minus 1 dollar). No one in my party liked their food or even came close to finishing it. Would never recommend anyone to eat here based on this experience."

"Beautiful evening and dining outside couldn't have been better until our food arrived. Our meals were cold and my bone in pork chop was raw our sides were cold to the touch on both of our plates. Our waitress was apologized and let us know the kitchen was discussing our meals and was surprised the raw pork and cold sides were not caught at the pass. She offered to re-fire but it took so long for our waitress to return my wife had finished her meal for quite some time and we were ready to go. I realize Restaurants have bad days but the manager never bothered to come out and talk with us and this is unacceptable. It was not our waitress fault and I tipped generously but I'm having remorse since the bill was nearly $100 and I have not eaten... Helpful 0 Thanks 0 Love this 0 Oh no 0"

"The food was okay but the female waitress was kind of rude. I accidentally ordered a omelette that had bacon in it. And I kindly stated “I was unaware this had bacon in, I can’t have pork”. She stated “so you didn’t read the menu. It clearly says that it’s bacon in here.” I made a honest mistake, and she made me feel horrible about it. On a positive note, she did take it back and bring me another one without bacon, and told me happy birthday since today was my birthday. The rest of the staff was very nice and made me feel welcomed."

"Absolutely amazing Gem located in the heart of NYC! I struggled to find a sit down breakfast place for a group of 4 so when I came across this place, I of course went straight to the reviews! PLEASE DO NOT BE DISCOURAGED by the reviews!!!! This lovely restaurant has 4.4 stars On Facebook! I ordered the pancakes, scrambled eggs, and bacon. The pancakes were fluffy and cooked to perfection, the bacon crispy and taste amazing, the eggs were fluffy and delightful. I also had a glass of orange juice that was just how I liked it PULPY which is hard to find! And an Cup of coffee that was served in a glass cup on a saucier. We were greeted by smiles and greetings as soon as we stepped in the door. Definitely a must visit if wanting a good family owned home cooked breakfast!!!"
