"Saved our Thanksgiving! Regrettably, my First Officer and I were stuck in LIC for Thanksgiving evening, with nowhere to go and basically nothing worth while to eat. Very last minute. American Brass was open and offering a Thanksgiving menu, however the restaurant was fully booked. I reached out to the GM, Michael Lopez, and he took the time to speak with me and offer accomodations either at the bar, or possibly last minute seating. We spoke a few times before or arrival to be certain. Once we arrived he managed to get us a table for two, despite that fact that, within in hour or so, the restaurant was completely packed. I watched walk ins turned away because of the capacity. Just that attention to customer service won us over, not to mention that the Thanksgiving menu was fantastic! From the appetizer to dessert! Not often you find a place that gives a damn anymore. They could have just add easily said Fully booked and hung up. Special thanks to Michael and American Brass!
