"Good service and the portions are huge. You have a 13.95 USD lunch special and you can order 2 huge special rolls. I had unagi and softshell crab roll. It was good. I thought it wouldn't be enough food, but it was enough."

"We have been looking for a place like Oishii for a long while. After moving to the MD suburbs, we were reluctant to head downtown for a simple sushi night, and although Sushi-Ko is very good, we found Oishii to be much more authentic. And they took a reservation for us for the sushi bar! The sushi chef was generous, made suggestions, and we walked away knowing this was going to be our new sushi spot. Just don't tell everyone, because it's a gem and there's only 12 or so seats at the sushi bar!"

"Hello! This sushi restaurant has been at this place for at least 15 years (I also believe much more than that). I started eating here a long time ago, we say two years ago. I usually have miso soup, small house salad, lobster, spicy crispy tuna reel, rainbow, California roll, etc. Food is really good, classic, authentic, but the restaurant needs a little updated. Looks like a nice restaurant from the late 90s, which is not bad, but it needs a touch of today. Now they improve an outdoor seating of just a few tables with plants and new floors. You passed the test of time. Congratulations!!!"

"The restaurant has a very cute, trendy vibe with an intimate dining room. Btw, parking can be a challenge but if you luck up get a parking spot directly outside the restaurant on Lancaster Avenue, it's free. The ramen...WOW! I had every intention of taking some home but nope...ate every last bit there! As a pescaterian, majority of the ramen dishes had pork broth BUT there was about 3-4 chicken/vegetable/shrimp ramen bowls. Since I had the Vegetable Miso Ramen on my 1st visit (highly recommend! , I tried the Green Curry Ramen and this dish too measured up! There's a full bar and I definitely want to return to try their sushi which I hear is great too. Ishmael was a great server! The only reason I'm giving Ramen Bar a 4 instead of 5 stars is because I asked for a little hot sauce to add to my ramen and the young lady gave me Bakudan which was delish but an additional $3 and didn't even advise beforehand (total pet peeve of mine ! I never heard of an additional charge for hot sauce and even so, generally a condiment charge is only $1-2; $3 is pretty steep. But go figures because if you add shrimp to the Vegetable Miso Ramen it's an additional $7. I guess they don't care about making things reasonable even though the restaurant is located on Drexel's campus. Also it would be nice if Ramen Bar's Happy Hour pricing returned like it had pre-pandemic (the HH menu is still on the restaurant's IG page ."

"Great restaurant! They have both Thai food and Japanese food, which I felt as a good combination. I went with three friends and we all ordered various things that all tasted delicious. The server was very polite and accommodating and told us that “there are no stupid questions”. Would recommend and dinate again!"

"The menu shown online at Open Table is not even close to the menu in the actual restaurant. We went here because we were in the mood for bento boxes and they were on the Open Table listed menu. The menu they gave us had no bento boxes or many of appetizers listed online. We had already ordered drinks by the time we figured out the menu was different so we had to settle our bill and then find another place to eat. Kind of irritating."

"We dined here last night hoping for hibachi. It was busy so no surprise there was a long wait so we chose a booth instead. Drinks and appetizers came out rather quickly but the entrees took a very long time. So long the waiter came back 2x to tellusit would be there shortly. No worries- we like fresh hot food. Once our food finally did arrive it was delicious but COLD. Myhusband also ordered a seafood platter that was short on the #of scallops he was supposed to have. I could see quite a bit ofconfusion in the back and it looked like they had lots of to-go orders so I didn't complain. We love this restaurant and oftenorder but specifically came so it would be hot&fresh (with the hope of a hibachi show). Food is always delicious, but apparentlylesson learned: stick to the hibachi side if you want your food hot."

"I met some friends to this place and it's great. we had a wonderful time here. it's pretty busy so I totally understand that our food and drinks have not come to us for one thing. I warn that when they come during the working time, some delays await the next. Otherwise, the pricing on the cheaper end and the alcohol selection is excellent."

"I visited this restaurant for the first time yesterday evening and was left feeling disappointed. Despite being advertised as a high-end Japanese restaurant, I found the menu to be limited outside of sushi and the quality of the food to be lacking. I ordered the Tiger Shrimp Tempura and was disappointed to receive rubbery shrimp with a thick, doughy coating. The tempura batter should have been light and crispy, but it seemed like the shrimp had been overcooked. When I sent the dish back, the waiter's response suggested that this was not the first time they had encountered this issue. The wings I ordered were decent, but my wife's snow crab California roll was not only average in taste but also came in a disappointingly small portion for the price of $22. The selection of wines by the glass was also limited, with only a sweet cabernet available. The only positive aspect of our experience was the attentive and efficient staff. Overall, I felt that this restaurant did not live up to its claim of being a Japanese establishment, as many traditional dishes were missing from the menu. The overpricing and false perception of being upscale only furthered my disappointment."

"This is one of my favorite restaurants in the area. Impeccable service, which is hard to find lately. The food is delicious and the chef goes out of his way to accommodate special dietary needs! I eat a plant-based diet so I ordered a vegetable sushi roll and a noodle dish with tofu, no egg. I also ordered a curry, to take home to my son. The chef took the time to come to the table to ask me if I'm vegan because many of their sauces have fish sauce as an ingredient. I didn't think of this, so I was grateful to the chef to personally come talk to me about the menu, then make my meals without fish sauce. He also brought me spring rolls instead of the typical soup and salad that's usually presented with sushi, because they had animal products in them and he could make the spring rolls vegan. The meals were reasonably priced, more than fair in today's economy. Vegetarian options: Mention you're vegan or vegetarian and they'll accommodate. "Last night I went to Kumo Sushi in Ridgewood, NJ. It was as delicious and as good as I had hoped. The server, Emma, was a pleasure! Three reels that were all so good. Connection Roll, Mayflower Roll and the Sexy Girl Roll. Can't wait to go back for more!"

"Food is good, staff are nice, service is embarrassing. My in laws like to come here for family gatherings, I would never recommend it. Inevitably one person's meal comes out 10-20 min later than everyone else's, at least one person has to ask 3+times for something, and they bring things we didn't order. They include gratuity automatically, which I wouldn't have a problemwith if the service were anywhere close to sufficient."
