"A decent place for a decent burger. I have an avocado bacon cheeseburger. It hit the spot. You have a range of burgers, pommes and Mexican food. What this place is really apart for me are the freshly cut pommes. They remind me of one-n-outries, except I like them better because they are thicker cut. Ausgefries are too thin for my preference. The staff is kind. They offered to delete our garbage for us, brought us spices and asked if we needed something else. Once we have set ourselves to dinner, we did not have to get up (except for drinks that serve themselves)."

"Ordered huevos rancheros (with scrambled eggs) got scrambled eggs on top of 2 corn tortillas. No sauce, no cheese, no tortillas on the side, had to ask for salsa. Not at all a traditional Huevos Ranchero. Service was great however."

"This place is absolutely amazing. I was here a good number of times and the place consistently over appearances. The food is great and very fast. The menu is also very large, which you could assume might cause problems with speed and quality - but it does not. You also have a small Koi fish pond outside, which is nice to sit and take photos. I think every city has a small local burger place and this is certainly it for La Puente. It's great!"

"Arriving at 10:30am on a Sunday and only one couple in the entire place made me a little nervous were the reviews wrong? Had the place shifted owners and fallen from grace? Uh oh... Anyway, I sat down, was promptly asked if I wanted something to drink and handed the menu. Coffee arrived before I had read through the menu, nice. Pondered the options for a while and settled on the veggie hash with sunny side up eggs, toast and slices of bacon as an extra. As I was waiting for my food the place started to fill up! I needed have worried! By the time my food arrived the place was pleasantly buzzing with conversations from more than half of the tables, and by the time I finished my plate the restaurant was almost full. Never loud though, just a pleasant background noise to fill the space. Definitely glad I stopped by, the hash was great and the eggs cooked perfectly!"

"We've tried several different things here and enjoyed all of the things we've had. Tacos with pork, shredded beef, and Indian fry bread plate with pork was very good too. My husband liked their salsa so much he bought a pint of the hot. We also like the green salsa, but couldn't get it in the pint to go... it's got a different flavor then most, that we liked...not so vinegar tasting."

"Wow, Tavos was suggested by a coworker for a date night with my bride. So cool. The place was tiny but offered great conversation with the host/bartender/waiter. The margaritas were raved about so my wife got one and loved it. I asked for a NA marg but it wasn’t available. We had a great free pre-appetizer and later ordered an appetizer. The Guac was perfect! Before our meal, our host/bartender/waiter asked “mango or pineapple?” To my surprise he made a mango NA marg on the house stating, “it’s on the house, let me know if you like it- we don’t sell NA margs so I tried to great a similar version”. It was stellar. The food…. So so so good. We left full to the brim and smiling. We WILL be back."
