"hidden over this place when we went to check English book, they had a completely separate vegan menu. that had a lot to choose in starters, curries, naan brot and of course dosas. they also had a great vegan lunch offer where they had a tablet with 3 curries, rice, naan brot and some cut veg for $7! and they also did every veggie dosas for $8. we have lunch and shared a dosa and they were massive. would recommend this place. local business, good eating, amazing price can not ask for more!"

"As a huge fan of Indian cuisine it’s always nice to find another location that exceeds expectations. The atmosphere is charming and our server was attentive. The food came out promptly and exactly how we ordered. When I go to Indian establishments I always get the chicken tikka kebab. I didn’t see it on the menu here so I got the lollipop chicken. I’m cursed with the cilantro gene that makes it taste like poison so I always order “no cilantro”. To my dismay the lollipop chicken was actually marinated with it but I honestly couldn’t taste it much over the other flavors so that was a huge bonus. The chicken itself tasted fresh and of high quality with that signature Indian blend of spices. 8.4/10 clucks. This place is not better than my all time favorite Indian eatery, Flavors Indian Cuisine, but I would still recommend it."

We went back and they were not ready and we went pillar to post to get the items nearly waited there for 45 mins. Party was ruined due to this and owner didn't pick up our calls too. "Very delicious food, my family and I enjoyed our food there tried the chicken tikka masala, shrimp biryani, Gera rice and nan. All was very tasty. I gave 4 stars because I ordered nan with meat and they got me nan with chicken without telling me, after I found out it was chicken not meet, i complained about it and they said meat take long time to be prepared! I said it?s ok with me after that they brought me my main order. Anyway I recommend this place."

"We went for the Sunday buffet and the waiter was really happy to tell me which of the dishes were vegan. It was probably about just under half of the vegetarian dishes which for me is a great choice as usually there is only a choice of one. The food was flavorful and the waiter brought me some poppadoms as the naan was not vegan. My only suggestion to the staff is that they put a V or some sign on the food labels on top of the buffet counter because although he went through everything with me I forgot what was what on my second go around and had to ask him again. "I have eaten at Namaste twice. The food and service are excellent in this beautiful restaurant. Once I was with a friend from Bangladesh who stated it served authentic regional cuisine. Although Berkeley is full of great restaurants, the outstanding feature of this restaurant is that it is really, really quiet (due to extremely high ceilings so conversation is easy for all patrons at a table for six or eight. Although the truth is that our group was at the restaurant from to when there were relatively few patrons so the noise level was low in any event. However I believe it would be relatively quiet even when truly busy. Highly recommended"

"As previous reviews said, the place is clean. There's a steady flow of customers so the food is always replenished. The clientele type is better than your average buffet restaurant. The staff is attentive enough to replenish your drinks or to take away used plates. The buffet offering is always the same but they are different types from salad to butter chicken, tandoori chicken, goat, vegetable dishes, up to dessert. I would come here even more often if they would add prime rib to the menu. But otherwise an outstanding restaurant and food service."
