"First time at Oka and we had lunch on a Saturday a little after noonish. My wife ordered sparkling water and I ordered a lychee martini that was on the menu. Waiter came back and said they were out of sparkling water and they could not make a mixed drink since the manager had not arrived to work yet. Strange concept to me and not a happy start for our dining experience. Overall, food was really good and my wife and I will be back for sure."

"there was an evening meal with some people from Europe. we all had a good time and ate very well. we really enjoyed watching the chef. first experience for two of the youngs. The best picks for the day were as always the suppe and lobster rangoon, the wasabi mayo lachs was tender and tasteful. chicken and steak tips hibachi was good. the situation was not occupied on Thursday at 5 o'clock. will definitely return here to eat again, but try to check the lunch specialties instead of the prices so much cheaper."

"This place is definitely one to check out if you're looking for good sushi and a great Hibachi plate. The clear soup is hands down best I've ever had. They said it's a house recipe and they use it in some of their other dishes. Miso soup is also one of the most flavorful I've ever had. Give this place a try if you're on the hunt for somewhere new to try."

"Up front: I'm not from Portland, but I am extremely familiar with the sushi omakase scene in Seattle. This tasted familiar!We had a great time. I typically go for nigiri and chef's choice cuts, but the options for typical ready-to-serve rolls were delicious. We were treated well and even though we didn't sit at the bar they had a fantastic toro selection alongside some classic market selections. What I presume to be the owner came out and talked with us and it was very humbling! It is very scenically located next to a park and the neighborhood seemed so nice. We would definitely come back for another visit. Only giving it 4 stars because I feel like I'm cheating on our favorite sushi chef haha."

"I can never have enough of this place. Crazy to think over half of the menu is since they opened the first place on the westbank. I remember going there the first week it opened and I had to get ten different items every time I went there after my initial visit ? I would spend half my paycheck every two weeks. Spicy tuna w/ fresh wasabi almost didn't make it on the menu and we told Ken that it had to be on the menu because we ourselves would go every week to buy just that ?"

"Everything was extremely fresh and well packed. Honestly worth every cent in my opinion. Its hard to find local sushi spots with fish this fresh. Try the Spicy Salmon roll or choose it with your platter. They dont blend it with filler like Tempura/Panko flakes. This is the real deal. They cut perfect sized small chunks of fresh salmon and use scallion and a really tasty hot pepper. I think they even use a touch of sesame oil. Its was outstanding. If I could afford to eat this daily, I would."

"Teriyaki Chicken was delicious! Good amount of rice and chicken. Wish it had more veggies. Really only had zucchini."
