"Stumbled on this hidden gem.. Food was delish, staff was great. The portions a huge here for a reasonable price. I ordered the Hobo omelette which had bell pepper, onions, mushrooms, sausage, ham and cheese and hash browns on the side. Which also came with a side of biscuits and gravy.. My boyfriend ordered the philly cheese steak sandwich. He said it had great flavor and it was huge and u have a choice of soup or French fries. All together spent about $30 including our refills on coffee. Definitely will come back. Like I said food was great.."

"Best breakfast I've had in some time. Grade: B<br/ <br/ It had been years since we ate at Original Pancake House and decided to try it again this morning. Best idea of the day.<br/ <br/ The cherry kijafa crêpes were huge, filled with cherries and covered in a delicious cherry sauce. The real whipped cream really made the dish.<br/ <br/ I didn't feel like pancakes, and instead ordered the works (2 eggs, 2 strips of bacon and hash brown) but substituted toast for the 3 buttermilk pancakes that normally come with the order. The scrambled eggs were fluffy, the hash browns crispy. Their thick cut bacon was a nice change from the normal greasy, thin strips in most restaurants. But the bread that was used for the toast thick, white bread that tasted freshly baked was really a surprise.<br/ <br/ This is now a solid option for weekend breakfasts for us."

"Stopped by the OG Pancake House on a busy Sunday morning. I was promptly seated, and the waiter was immediately ready for my order. I had the waffle, which was light and crisp, 2 eggs over medium and bacon done to perfection, with a side of English Muffins. I was on a tight schedule and was in and out in 16 minutes. Very impressive for such a busy time of the day."

"Stopped in for lunch on a Thursday afternoon with a group of 6. Dining room was pretty busy and we had a short wait for a table. I understand the difficulty with hiring and keeping reliable staff, so we were patient. The server took our order for drinks and then came back for our food order. The food almost beat our drink order to the table. Based on the quality and quantity of food, it more than made up for the slower drink orders. 2 people ordered grits and said they were the best they have ever had. The Miltons wings were nice and hot and crispy. The french dip was huge and delicious. The brisket sandwich had so much brisket in it that it became an open face sandwich. The jerk chicken mac and cheese never disappoints. Exceptional food. Hope you have luck finding more staff. We will return again."

"I absolutely adore the Original Pancake House and decided to have breakfast there during my visit to Indianapolis. We were promptly greeted and seated by a very friendly waitress. I couldn't help but notice that the entire staff worked together efficiently, making sure all customers were well taken care of, whether it was refilling coffee or attending to any other needs. Our food arrived quickly and was both hot and delicious. The restaurant was about one-third full and the customers were well spaced out."

"Amazing food. I had pancakes in many places, but this is a separate taste course. Pancakes were not sweet themselves, but combined with maple syrup and fresh butter ham gave your taste buds something to celebrate. Pecan French Toasts were delicious. "Lumes never fails to impress. But to give an honest review, I'll start with the cons first. Sometimes when you walk in there, you see many open tables but you still have to wait to be seated. I think that has to do with the amount of servers that could only serve a maximum amount of tables. Also there have been rare times when you're waiting a long time for someone to come around for coffee refills...again, it's rare but it's a pet peeve. Lastly, they don't do nearly enough with weekly (or weekend) specials. It's an opportunity to temporarily roll out new, creative dishes to test what should be added to the menu permanently. They should visit the crispy waffle to see that there are three special dishes that you can order on a Saturday morning. We are there so much, that the menu tends to get stale and would appreciate some new choices.Now for the pros. The wait staff is absolutely impeccable. Out of the six or so servers that they have on the weekends, there is only one that we don't like...but honestly, It's only because she's all business. Almost every one of the servers knows exactly how we like our coffee and they bring it to the table without even asking which we love.The food is always very good. Without exaggeration, we have probably eaten at this location in Willowbrook 175 times in the last 2 years. In all that time, I had only two or three complaints about the food. And as it turns out, the worst one was actually my fault. Each time, they asked if they could get me something else. That's great customer service.The hostess is always greet us with a smile when we walk in the door and sometimes we even get a visit by the owner at our table.Lumes in near Willowbrook is the very definition of what a restaurant should be."
