"Located in the Mission District where Last Supper Club used to be, this hip Italian restaurant draws big crowds on weekends. My friends and I reserved a six-top and were seated in their dark, dungeon-like room downstairs. It took several minutes for our eyes to become accustomed to the dim lighting and actually see our menus. Seating was interesting, half of us sat in regular chairs and the other half sat in an old church pew. When I’m in the mood, I enjoy cocktails with either Grey Goose or Belvedere vodka. But our two servers made it abundantly clear that the bartenders turn up their noses at vodka which is apparently inferior to rums, gins and the like for mixed drinks. They said vodka doesn’t do anything to enhance those kinds of drinks. That explains why they only had several vodkas and each were infused with weird flavors like basil. I tried a highly recommended gin drink, (I hate gin but one of our servers insisted that it was worth a try), and traded it in for a glass of red wine. Then I tried to focus on the food. Our group shared a bunch of dishes, including roasted beets with ricotta salata which was my girlfriend’s favorite, and meatballs in tomato sauce which were a little too soft but had good flavor. It came with a couple slices of grilled bread to sop up the sauce. We also had a proscuitto pizza with tomato, arugula, and mozzarela which had a thin, crispy crust but was just okay. The marinated sardines were very tart which is the way they are supposed to be, but my mouth got really puckery. The salumi platter was nice, as was the saffron risotto with osso bucco which was comforting and rich. We had a couple of espresso-laden desserts to finish the night. Honestly, there are so many other restaurants where I can get a great Italian meal with a nice vodka cocktail and good lighting beyond the bowels of a restaurant. I’ll be back in the Mission soon since I love the overall vibe of that neighborhood, but I don’t think Beretta will be among my stops."

"we chose delarosa to start our date. we've been around 18 o'clock since our show at 8 o'clock. the place was quite packed, the friend called in the morning to reserve us a place. we sat at the high chair, in the restaurant. we decided to go inside, because it was windy outside. the waitresses were very nice and helpful in choosing what we wanted from the menu. service was fast and friendly. 5. 5 ambiance was relatiw casual and not too loud that it was hard to talk to each other, but we sat pretty close to other people who did not big coviden and also for talks. 4 5. Drinks: marco polo as always I demanded something sweet. this is mildly sweet, larger acidic notes and they can still taste the alcohol, but its well rounded. nicely easy to drink, I finished the drink before we were finished eating his pretty good. 4 5 the choice of the monarch friend. stronger alcohol node, smooth with a hauch sour. smooth. not my cup of tea, but he loved it. 3 5 for me. arancini I am a fan of fried things so that I loved this court. perfect crunchy, not so oily that it makes you sick. the rice tastes a little old, which is disappointing. I underestimate and that the point of arancini is that its revitalising rest, but for something I pay, I prefer to be fresher. the star of this teller is definitiw the lemon aioli! his soou freshly balances the oil on these balls and we lick the witness literally clean. we have dipped our pizza chest in there. this aioli wore this court! 4 5 spicy fennel sausage pizza I am not fan hot items and I didn't think it will be so hot, but that's a hot ass pizza. it packs too much heat from me, but the fennel sausage was delicious and the lemon aioli helped. another pizza place where I finished the crust. another complaining is really part of it. it's a tiny pizza. I didn't feel happy. 3 5 capricciosa pizza hefty topping pizza, this is the saving grace since I have been hungry after our last 2. but honestly, it didn't shine at all. felt like a normal pull-out pizza. the only good thing is that its full of high quality jump. it didn't really all dance well together. 3 5 bombolini it was a nice fluffy donut. hasn't blown so much for me either. the vanilla cream was good, but I had better bombolini out of spruce, which is worth talking about 3 5. Overall, I think that delarosa has not really fulfilled our expectations. if it was too foot to our apartment, we would be back, but since all the way into sf we will probably make a special ride to be here. there are much more better pizzerias in bright old and mountain views."
