"Beautiful place, phenomenal food! Huge portions. We did feel very rushed by the waitress. We were still eating as the waitstaff asked to wrap up our food for take home and at the same time handed us a dessert menu. We had to ask them to please slow down and let us finish. Otherwise definitely a 5 star restaurant!!! Will ALWAYS return!"

"I have a gluten allergy, and this is really the happiest thing I've ever eaten before my allergy develops. This restaurant is so authentic and almost everything on the menu can be made gluten-free. Michelle (our server) took care of us from the very beginning. They make gluten-free pasta in the house. My pasta was the most delicious meal I've had for years. This is an absolute must for everyone with a gluten allergy. I'll come back as soon as possible."

"Absolutely beautifully plated, clean palate pleasing dishes! Chef Massimo is the Best!! He brings out the most wonderful flavors and textures in all the dishes he prepares. He has a very very nice wine list. His dining area is very nice and beautifully decorated with wall waterfalls and nicely dimmed lighting. Very romantic. "Eating was terrible. Only 4 tables, but a Quincenara BDay party in the back. Wont be back. Chicken Francois tasted over the left and reheated. Pasta w Marinara sauce tasted of burnt garlic. Shrimps not washed/discharged. The cocktail sauce was old."

We asked the hostess to move our table away from the door, but it didn't help much. The illuminated fireplace, while it was visually appealing, was not a heat. Server was timely and helpful."

"We made a reservation and arrived on time, but no one acknowledged us. Finally, the manager looked at us and asked if we were waiting for a table. After waiting for 20 more minutes and at least six different staff members passing by us, we decided to leave. We never had the opportunity to taste the food, and we would not return due to the poor experience."

"I have placed my order this morning at 11:28 as I have recommended delivery time followed by slice of 60-75 minutes. our lunchtime starts at 12:25 and I knew there was a chance that our order could come up to 12:45. Once I received a warning that our order came after 1 o'clock, I called the restaurant and asked them to hurry our order so that the students were not hungry as I ordered for them. at 11:45 a.m. the woman at giovanni assured me that we would get our delivery at 12:30 a.m. at 12:47 I called the restaurant again and said the order was already on the way and would arrive in a few minutes. at 1:17 I called the disc, as instructed, because I had not received my order. the representative called twice the restaurant and was sure that the order was in 20 minutes, and then only 5. I was refunded only $10 and had no pizza for hungry students. Once the pizza came, it was best lukewarm, and the quality is not what I expected from giovanni’s. I would not recommend that someone use discs or order of giovanni if they have starving or randomly need food within a two-hour period. we finally got the pizzas (we only ordered 2 and nothing special) at 13:38 clock 130 minutes after my order."

"Our second visit here and tried the Sushi this time. It was very good! We will definitely be back, but it will be hard to decide what to order; Italian or Sushi!! We like the atmosphere of the restaurant also, nice mellow music in the background and we understand there will be entertainment some evenings! Also, valet parking Friday and Saturday nights really helps at this busy area of Lakewood."

"I only gave it four stars because I have only eaten there once last week, but I loved it. Very much a NYC kind of atmosphere, great service (our server was a good guy), it was pouring, but we were in the covered patio area out back (by choice), the steakand eggs were amazing and the gnocchi was off the hook ???????? The Bottomless Brunch is $35 and I promise, the portions won'tlet you get but so far. I will be returning...again and again so I can move that food to give stars."

"One of the best culinary experiences we ever had! We arrived without reservation on a busy Saturday evening and they talked to us by squeezing us with a very short wait. My friend had the Butternut Squash Ravioli with chicken and he claims it was the best pasta he ever had! I am gluten-free and they went beyond and beyond to make sure that my meal was gluten-free. Our server was absolutely fabulous! We're so happy to stumble over this restaurant!"
