"A hidden gem in the heart of the little 2 stoplight town of Newland. Inside a converted drug store, still using the original soda fountain counter as part of the serving area beats the heart of Northern Italy. Due to some snowy weather over the weekend of our visit, the crowd was small for a Saturday night. The 11 or so of us lucky enough to have ventured out this night were treated to what's best described as some wonderful homemade Italian cooking while visiting with a favorite, and busy uncle. Several protein choices with multiple sauce options, as well as classic pasta dishes were available this night. We had grouper, ribeye, chicken, and lasagna served this trip, with a table sized ceaser salad to keep us satisfied until our courses were served. Good wine, great food, and a decor that highlights the owners family traditions and values, all with the personal attention of the chef himself."
