"We came in for our annual family February birthday celebration with a party of seven. It was a Saturday night and the place was packed. The food was great and much improved since my boyfriend and I ate there a few years ago. Everyone stated that they really enjoyed the food, including comments that the chicken pot pie and gumbo and french onion soup were they best they ever had. I would have rated Valley Inn as a 5-star but the service was disorganized and slow, although our waiter was very pleasant. I only took pics of 2 apps because it was so long before we got our third app and meals that we were starving so I didn't bother. The yellowfin mini tacos were awesome. Additionally, a restaurant of this price range and caliber should never set a table with dirty silverware."

"We were seated at a table by the window which was nice BUT the table was tiny!and we are not over sized! We ordered a bottle of sparkling water and there was not enough room at the table when our appetizer came. The beer was warm and the white wine was warm as well. Service was just okay. One waiter had a mask and gloves on which is fine due to the past years with COVID but he kept pulling down the mask to speak to his coworkers. And never changing the gloves. I work in healthcare and that is disgusting!"

"my steak was over cooked. my guests speck and kartoffels were undercooked. we booked a reservation and had to wait 15 minutes. they sat us in the busiest part of the restaurant next to the sign, where we were constantly bombarded with people who photographed me sign before the broken brunch. probably best to go during the weekday. the weeks and days of sun are really crowded and it takes about 30 minutes to get their check. I was quite disappointed. I always had a great experience. I brought someone new and they weren't impressed. I was a little embarrassing, but maybe it was just the time of day and week."

"If it hadn't been there for a while, it could be radar. Four of us went to dinner and all of us enjoyed our meals. Love that there was an open space between the tables and the waitress was fashioned and friendly. With brown rice and tofu you ate the stirring frit and was deliciously seasoned. Friends had the Lachsburgs and were very satisfied. Wanted to order the stirrup and delivered it tonight a witness how good it was, but despite the order was $18 the site said that the order was over $15 for delivery and would not do it. Two times tried."

"All of us left full. there was lots of food. The service was ok, but not exceptional. The room is lacking in ambiance. Dated. A pianist would take the afternoon to the next level. I had the vegetarian tea and the sandwiches were exceptional. My...husband would have liked more sandwiches and less sweets. All of us (including my 9 year old son) felt the sweets were WAY TOO SWEET. We would have enjoyed the food so much more if everything wasn't so sweet. Half the sugar in all recipes would make the afternoon so much more enjoyable. Even your dark chocolate had too much sugar. My son loved the hot chocolate with a side of marshmallows. That made his day."
