"One Sunday in August 2021, we went to Chavez like we always do when we visit my Mom in Spring Branch. I get the shrimp. It was always good until the last time. Are used to get Tex-Mex but discovered their shrimp. The last time was the Sunday and immediately the service was off you could just tell and the food took longer then ever before. They bought the shrimp with fish on it which is never happened before. But I thought it be good to try the fish so I didn’t say anything. Then I bit into the shrimp and it was awful… Gamy. So I complained to the waiter. The waiter comes back And says he spoke to the cook about it. That was all He did…big deal. So we got our ticket to leave no discount or any kind of offer about the bad shrimp. Then when I went to house them about it they said I should’ve returned the plate. (which I complained the minute I tasted the shrimp) Wow! It took twice more for me to complain before they finally took off that plate of shrimp that I ordered. It was a huge pain with them lecturing me and looking at me like I’ve done something wrong. Really bad customer service. Really cheap way of doing business. Especially since we’ve been regular customers there for many years. Don’t know what else to say about that it kind of speaks for itself. Needless to say they ended our customer relationship with them right away. I should have returned the plate immediately when it had the fish on it. That was not what I ordered.I think they added the fish to cover up the fact that they didn’t have any shrimp left and couldn’t communicate enough to tell someone then I’ll order the shrimp."

"The food was quite good but as others have said, it is served in to-go containers with plastic silverware. It isn't a big deal but why can't they serve it on plates like every other Mexican restaurant? I also didn't understand the build your own, pick-2 choice which had 8 choices but 4 of the 8 had a upcharge. I found it a little high priced for the quantity. Again, it was good, but I wouldn't go unless I couldn't get in to Guaybitos."

"The food here is absolutely delicious. While the portion sizes may not be as large as those at some other restaurants, the quality is exceptional. If you appreciate art and spacious environments, this is a stunning place to visit. The walls are adorned with large, three-dimensional murals, and the ceiling is beautifully designed with images of horses nestled among clouds. It's truly a lovely setting to unwind. We will definitely return and bring our families along. Even the bathrooms are impressive!"

"I was disappointed that they gave our table of 12 to an inexperienced server, who was also responsible for other tables in her section. The service was painfully slow and the checks at the end were wrong and had to be fixed. Poor management decision. I wouldn’t select this restaurant for a large group again."

"we had a reservation for 9:45. we reached there at 9:30, 15 min early. but restaurant was close I don't understand what the use of the reservation it is more open table and restaurant mistakes. not with open table in future"

"This was my first stop at Victor’s Casa Garcia Mexican Restaurant… man that’s a long name for a restaurant. Anyway the food was great! I ordered the Chicken Enchiladas which came with refried beans and rice, I substituted the refried beans for Charros they were excellent almost as good as my moms cooking! I must say I was disappointed in the portion of rice it was like they were trying to save some or maybe they we’re running low on rice either way the portion was odd and so was the portion served to the persons who joined me for lunch. I still recommend Victors because the food was served hot and was very flavorful! As someone who was raised on Mexican Food I highly recommend you Check them out."
