"my fiancée and I visited here on 10 september while we were on vacation. I was excited to taste the food, which thought we would have authentic fresh Mexican food, and it didn't get so challenged. we first ordered the chicken nachos and our chips were as delicate as when they were? ve was heated in the microwave, then we ordered the barbacoa tacos and the enchiladas. they are really good, but our main question was with the enchiladas. we have told our server that they do not taste very pleasant, I could burn froster. the server went and got the owner or the chef, I'm not sure, but I explained that they were not good and we didn't want them, they continued to say how they were? re them best sellers and that they were fresh daily and maybe we? re just didn't get used to the taste. she was really controversial. She finally took her off our bill, but her attitude was disgusting."

"My family and I escaped the worst state in the nation, California. I lived in San Diego for 30 years while I was in the Navy. After moving to Rapid City, I didn't expect to good Mexican food. I was wrong! El Sombrero is delicious Mexican food. You don't want to pass this place if you love Mexican food as much as my family and I do. Our new favorite restaurant!"

"I accidentally stumbled across this place several years ago. It is a perfect little place. People are friendly and inviting. Food is always good and prices affordable. The best salsa around and always consistent. Had to stay away for awhile because i was eating there twice a week and getting fat. Great place."

"Omg this place has won my life, I have lived in IL for 5yrs and have searched for a place that serves Carne Asada Fries and California Burrito... other restaurants have made them especially for me, but it never tastes the same as what u in San Diego..I finally stumbled on this gem online and BAM here I am an hour drive later enjoying the fries and it is so delicious! I can't wait to come back! You guys are def worth the drive here!!!"

"MY FAVORITE BURRITO RIGHT HERE It's no doubt is an ALL-MEAT BURRITO The only thing in their burrito is: meat, more meat, and beans (you can add onion and hot sauce if you want) $5.90 for a burrito and it would be another 50 cent charge if you pay in card. I love this place too much that I don't even care. It's too good. If you eat in, you also get free chips too. The restaurant is family-based I think. But you can also do order through phone and pick-up. I love the girl cashier here. She is super nice. She even brings our food to us, not call us up to pick up our food while we were staying there. She also gives me chips when I do to-go (although she is not supposed to)."

"Always busy. As with other places sometimes the short staff issues are very evident. The food is more often then not very good. Last visit the food was not the same quality as other visits and stomach troubles soon followed. May need a break from visiting until service recovers."
