"eat a good menu and quality; although the decor is a bit dated. then again. most of the things on the island. so with that said decor could use a neat to together with the rest of the room. two mirrors that look into the bar from the herren room is not ideal, nor the late 90’s dinning room. the menu and the wine list are impressive with wonderful specialties. the sea bass on a bed of the sweet risotto was very delightful and the beginning of the escargot was devine. about all a good experience with the charm of the old world (the last 90s) and the great eating. dinner for two (appeared, 2 dinners, 2 desserts and 3 glasses wein) for $150 is not bad at all! So they give this place an attempt to not consider the device."

"Meatballs appetizer was cold, not even warm Have one to other to try Waiter took the two cold meatballs still on dish back and they microwaved it but the one meatball gave to others to try was not taken back to reheat Overall strip steak was good and tasty One person had filet mignon well done but it was overcooked and very dry Long wait for the food to come We go out regularly to high end restaurants but this place was little not up to par. We were expecting a little better."

"I can 't say enough about our brunch!! David was the BEST waiter and the food was probably the best breakfast I 've had in years! It 's a beautiful restaurant and the bar is a gorgeous work of art. Let's say it was a dead fly in my napkin, COLD (as in the refrigerator) clear white rice on my wife's plate, and it was clear that this was not these restaurants best hour when the sunset approached. It was clear that the host and the staff took care of regular guests, but that was the worst experience we ever had. I leave many details, but believe me when I say you haven't missed much if you don't go to this restaurant towards the end of his government."

"this was our first visit to the weeping. we liked the atmosphere that it feels intimate clubby. we were there on a Sunday night and we found the noise level that is in order for talks. we ordered a series of articles, some from the menu that is extensive, and also one of their specializations. all were excellent! the portions are very generous and their wine prices are very reasonable. our service was also excellent. we would highly recommend to try this restaurant. we can't wait to go back!"

"First time there, it was recommended to my wife by a colleague, so she wanted to try as per usual not the place I recommended of course. We went to the Norwalk CT location, not busy for Monday 6:30 reservation. Waiter was pleasant, not pushy and knew what he was doing, welcome change. We both had the surf&Turf Filet And Lobster, both prepared as asked again not the norm in most places. Filet did not require any other seasoning. Definitely would go again though pricey may not go to often. Do prefer to go less frequently compared to lower prices, poorer quality of food and service."

"Update: This just re-opened under new ownership. The 3rd one since we've been coming here. The menu has a wider selection. My husband thinks that it leans more towards Italian. I still see echoes of the French menu. We ordered the rock shrimp and scallops. Glad that we asked for warm bread and butter to soak the sauce. He ordered a salad and I ordered the salmon. What I love the most is the wine selection. The previous owners offered European wines which was good if you like that style. I personally prefer California wines so I'm thrilled. I ordered a flight of the Chardonnay. The creme brulee was so good but I wasn't fast enough to take a picture. We sat outside though they also have seating inside too. So glad that this is open again! This is a hidden gem. It's off the beaten path that locals go to. We've been going for over 10 years. It's French but not pretentious. We sometimes go right when it opens without reservation. It gets packed on Valentine's Day and Mother's Day. We usually order steak and fries, mussels with curry and risotto. They always accommodate kids' request for pasta with butter and cheese. We try their escargot from time to time. I'm glad that they offer California wines too and just not just French wines. They offer brunch which I've never tried though."

"Let start by saying this is my favorite and one of the best Steakhouse in Fairfield county. The opportunity to deliver a one of a kind experience starts with your hosts and servers which both were really great. We were greeted right away with a smile and we were accommodated right away which is much appreciated especially when dining with a newborn. We were checked on every time that was need also the manager Eugene was very attentive as needed, always checking on us and other customers in the restaurant, and he had a great attitude ! Food was yummy…!! We had few appetizers , our favorites were tuna tartar as well as beef carpaccio. Steak was juicy and cooked perfectly. Definitely recommend this place and will be back soon !!!"

"My husband and I ate here for dinner last and it was absolutely perfect! We didn’t have a reservation and the restaurant was very busy, but the manager fit us in. The service was great! Our server and the manager were both so sweet. And the food was amazing! I had the cauliflower steak and the chimichurri was the best I’ve ever had! I also highly recommend the ginger martini. The only negative thing to note was the table next to us. Three extremely rude gentleman. I’m really not sure what they were unhappy about as they could not articulate it. But they were so rude to the manager! She handled it with grace and continued delivering excellent service throughout the restaurant. If you’re looking for a nice place to eat in Ptown with great ambiance, this is your place!!"
