"I visited the location in Vernon CT on Hartford Turnpike for dinner. I ordered the large fried chicken meal and my husband had the large j chicken meal. I have NEVER had Jamaican fried chicken like this EVER before! The coating on the chicken was like rock stone, the inside was very dry and bland. I was very disappointed with the food I received and the amount of money spent. My husband said his chicken was very dry as well. The only thing that was good was the oxtail gravy that I had on the rice and peas. The rice and cabbage was ok.I honestly feel like the fried chicken was a few days old and they just reheated it. I have NEVER experienced chicken this way from ANYWHERE.I’m a chef myself and I do give credit when it’s due but this experience was unbelievably bad. I honestly felt that I was going to break a tooth if I continued eating it."

"Came here the other day and ordered some chicken, rice,beans and plantains with a morir sonando on the side and it was delicious. I will definitely be returning. I also liked that they had the buffet covered by clear plastic so you can see the food through it but no way anyone can contaminate it. They also had no dining in and the tables and chairs stacked up in a corner section of the store. The place looked clean from what I could see."
