"We have been dining at Clifton Inn for years and experienced its various formats, menus, personnel and decor. This time three of us went for Thanksgiving. The main entree we all ordered the turkey option was fine. Not exceptional, but fine. I did not care for my appetizer, the smoked trout spread. My husband did enjoy the soup. We each had a different dessert, and were satisfied with all. Problems: No bread served until requested. (forgotten) No soup spoon, missing a butter knife, had to request water refill. In short, disappointing service. That said, they were busy, but when one pays this price, one expects more from the staff."

"Third stay at in...nine years ago was fantastic in all respects. Last year was markedly less impressive. This year was pathetic. Poorly trained waiter was trying hard and friendly, but overmatched. Tapas appetizer was not creative and a poor value. Entrees were very pedestrian and not quite large enough. My wife ordered decaf coffee after dinner and waiter returner five minutes later to inform us they were out of decaf coffee. This place used to be very inventive and high-end. It is a shell of its former self, in all categories. Huge disappointment."

"This was our third visit to the Sea Salt and it was very disappointing. We very much enjoyed our previous visits. First, we had to ask our server twice for bread and finally we ask a server walking by our table if he could bring us some bread. Second, our starter, which was sea scallops came to the table cold. When we notified the server she indicated that she would inform the chef. That was it! Third, the sea bass we ordered was served warm, however, even though it should have been hot the texture and flavor was excellent. Fortunately Downtown St. Pete has many choices for dinner."

"It's an Italian restaurant, for better and for worse. The food was good overall, wait staff were friendly and accommodating, and the decòr and abmbience were quite warming. The food service itself is interesting in that individual portions are fairly small you're really supposed to get a sampler/multicourse meal and share it family style. The menu was almost entirely Italian and not everything translates correctly, such as the diplomático dessert (a sponge cake if I recall correctly). And since this place was a full house tracking a staff down to explain the menu was a bit of a hassle, and the overall noise level made conversation difficult and became uncomfortable after a couple hours. My primi dish, fettuccine pancetta ragu, was fine, and I found the bread to be bland (no seasoning in either the bread nor oil), but I did sample other dishes that were quite impressive such as the sausage/fennel pizze and pesto pasta (off menu vegetarian option). And the gelato was the best I've ever had. I'd imagine the experience being much better with a familiarity with Italian language, and coming at a less popular hour."

"riva cucina was my place, it has now been checked several times, it is overcrowded, reserve. my salat with pancetta was in order, except the pancetta was much to overbid, could not chew, my porcetta was good. friend got seafood risotto, was meh! that was a nice place, now it seems to be suffering and lacking. server was great!"

"Went last Saturday with the family to try something new. Unfortunately the pub was seemingly short-staffed, and service was overwhelmed and forgetful I asked twice for a glass of water that never arrived). The appetizer came out burnt, but was good even for that. We quite liked the fish and chips, and the chorizo burger was average. The biggest issue for us was the noise--the dining area is on the small side, and with nothing to dampen the sound in the space it got quite loud. That's okay for a happy-hour group, but not for a nice Saturday lunch. I think it would be a good bar spot, but as a restaurant not so much."

"It was a good night. The food was great with the exception of the hamburger we had to send back twice. The first time it was burned to a cripple and the second time it was completely raw. And then everything was good. When the place began to fill the attention of the staff less and less. You need more help or less tables per server. We know about this place, so we always go early before a concert begins."

"Another jewel in Highwood. Pazzo offers a wide range of seating, from the bar up to the cozy lounge. The outdoor terrace during the season is excellent. The food offers are very good. In particular, nonnas meatballs and all flat breads are delicious. But of course, the main event is the selection of wines. Made by the winemaker who is there many nights, they are all very responsive, beautifully made and delicious. They're all pairing nicely with the menus. For those who do not like wine, there are also cocktail and beer options. A place worth a visit!"
