"I brought my daughter here for her birthday, and they sat at the door, which was smart. We didn't get water until we asked. The service was very moderate. The behavior of the waitress and other hostesses was like they didn't like their jobs. I was here in the past and that was the first time the service was so poor. Very disappointing."

"Visiting town and needed to grab some lunch so swung into The Lauber. It’s a slow time of day so the food came out really quick. On the downside, our fries were stone cold and we didn’t love the taste of the BBQ sauce on the pizza. We’d come back if ever in the area again, it wasn’t bad, also wasn’t a 5 star experience."

"Great place to eat. This is perhaps the best breakfast I had in a restaurant in my life. I don't really like to write this review, but I had such a good experience that other people wanted to know that they should try this place. They'll make it cool when you say eggs are my Fave! You will give you a free extra egg with your breakfast. Prices are very reasonable. I recommend eating there. I'd go out to eat there again."

"I have been shopping at the store since it opened and have always been a fan. But today I bought chicken salad that tasted kind of off and so after my third bite I looked at it more carefully and it was packed on December 30. That’s really old. Hope I don’t get food poisoning. I don’t really understand how that could still be out and available for people to buy. yes, if I had been shopping more carefully, I could’ve looked at the date. It just makes me lose trust in a store that I have always loved."

"I was visiting from out of state and needed to be in the area for over a week. Tired of fast food, I was craving some home-style comfort food, and this place definitely delivered. It has a cozy diner atmosphere and offers two soups each day, both of which are homemade and full of flavor—not straight from a can. I visited a couple of times: twice for breakfast and once for lunch. All the meals were delicious, the prices were reasonable, and the staff was very friendly. I will definitely return if I'm in the area again."

"Everything was very good except the hostess. When we checked in at 5:45 for our 5:45 reservation, she went to seat us at the table right next to the door. There were at least 3 other open tables away from the door, so we requested to be moved to any of those. She told us sorry, but people had requested those specific tables, which we found hard to believe. The manager walked over and in a few seconds he fixed the problem and sat us away from the door. Maybe those exact tables were not actually reserved. Other than this mishap, everything else including Margot our waitress was excellent."

"I only had an Affogato, which is an espresso served with a scoop of ice cream or frozen yogurt. I tried the one with yogurt, and it was delicious! I still want to sample the version with gelato, as I have a feeling it will be even better! I also had the pleasure of meeting the owner while I was there, and he was incredibly welcoming. He shared wonderful stories about Italy and Italian cuisine, which was lovely!"

"Stopped in for lunch on a Thursday afternoon with a group of 6. Dining room was pretty busy and we had a short wait for a table. I understand the difficulty with hiring and keeping reliable staff, so we were patient. The server took our order for drinks and then came back for our food order. The food almost beat our drink order to the table. Based on the quality and quantity of food, it more than made up for the slower drink orders. 2 people ordered grits and said they were the best they have ever had. The Miltons wings were nice and hot and crispy. The french dip was huge and delicious. The brisket sandwich had so much brisket in it that it became an open face sandwich. The jerk chicken mac and cheese never disappoints. Exceptional food. Hope you have luck finding more staff. We will return again."

"We had a reservation for 10:30, when we arrived it seemed a little chaotic. Lots of people without reservations in front of us in line, were being helped and sat. We waited almost 20 minutes before we were showed to an outside table. We had specified indoor seat it in reservation. After I expressed my disappointment we were reseated. It was an average buffet, no seafood or prime rib, but very delicious we were offered water several times, but towards the end of our meal I got up and requested coffee. Everyone was very friendly but seemed a bit overwhelmed perhaps the volume of people or rapid turn around "

"The food at this place is quite disappointing. After years of not visiting, I thought I'd give it another chance and ordered the Chicken BLT. I've honestly never encountered such thinly sliced chicken breast, especially for a $20 sandwich. I would be ashamed to serve something like that to a friend. I live just down the street and there's a good reason I don't come here often."

"If you're looking for a place with REALLY LOUD music, this is it! The food was only OK our server was very attentive at the start of our meal and we had to track her down to get our check. I don't remember this restaurant having the music from the band so loud in the past we asked to be seated away from the band, and the music was pumped in through speakers into the other dining rooms at a level where you couldn't hear anyone across the table from you. The food was OK I remember it being much better and fresher in the past. Our dates with chorizo were over cooked and dry. The steak tapa was also dry and chewy."

"Friendly and nice locally owned cafe. I ordered here on door dash for months before I finally went in person and I rolled up to the drive thru and met a super friendly dude who may be the owner. He’s super friendly and made sure everything was delicious before I left. The only negative I have is they used to have this banana coffee and I don’t see it on the menu! But seriously haven’t been disappointed by anything and delivery is always fast, even though their non-app site where you can tip the actual employees and not give extra money to door dash. Glad I found this cafe!"
