"The building is nice inside and outside. The parking lot was clean and there was plenty of parking. I was there for a business meeting. I ordered the lunch portion of three enchiladas. The service was slow and the wait staff doesn't work together for the benefit of all customers. Eye contact is limited and I had to get the attention of someone to order. My water wasn't refilled and I never received my check. When I was ready to go, I walked to the register and paid for my meal. The salsa is wonderful and not very spicy. It was just right in my opinion. The guacamole needed lots of salt to bring out the flavor. The cheese sauce was delicious and, most of all the enchiladas were perfect. All in all it was a great experience but the wait staff needs to step it up. Tips are earned not just given because you took my order and handed me my food with no interaction. Overall I recommend going to this place for a delicious Mexican meal!"

"First time visiting La Tolteca and definitely not the last. The atmosphere is lively and inviting. The staff is super friendly and outgoing from the second you enter the restaurant to the moment you leave.The food is absolutely delicious. The hardest part about visiting is deciding what to get. The portions are large so make sure you bring your appetite. I highly recommend the jalapeño poppers. The grilled shrimp burrito is humongous and filled with big shrimp as is the grilled shrimp quesadilla. The Beef Steak Ranchero is a very big dish! All of our food was perfectly prepared and hot.Our server was on point we never had to ask for anything. You have to visitvthe Joppa, Maryland location you will not be disappointed!"

"We absolutely loved this food! My husband had the Burrito Rio Grande recommended by our AMAZING waiter, Jose! He said it was the best burrito he has ever had! I had the Chicken Soup, simple but excellent. I had a side of refried beans because I fancy myself a critic of them. They were very tasty! Seriously don’t miss a chance to eat here!"
